   We have been here this afternoon for a festive Christmas afternoon tea and it was absolutely delicious. The assortment of sandwiches, the hand made amazing sausage rolls. Pigs in blankets, smoked salmon canapés delicious. The staff were very accommodating.. Unlimited tea and coffee. The deserts were amazing.. Scones with preserve and clotted cream chocolate brownies, mince pies with warm brandy sauce, and so much more. Definitely worth the money £10.95 per person. A fabulous afternoon in a lovely welcoming friendly pub 100%satisfaction Thankyou. Will definitely return

   Had a lovely Afternoon Tea today with friends. Lovely fresh food, plenty of sandwich choice with ample filling. Nice selection of desert cakes and tea and coffee on demand and I might add the coffee was lovely. Staff were efficient, pleasant and professional and a nice atmosphere. All in all, really good value for money.

   Popped in for a traditional pint of ale while over from Australia visiting my father in hospital. The old style interior added a rustic charm, typical of what you hope to find in an English pub. Didn't eat while I was there but the menu on the table looked like a good selection of pub classics at reasonable prices. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going back to the Windmill.

   Decided to visit as it was close to our friend’s house and dog friendly. When we arrived, we were greeted straight away by a friendly staff team and our dog got lots of attention including water and a few doggy treats. Good selection of beer and generous shots of Sambuca! We ordered some food and we were all pleasantly surprised by how good the food was, good portions, burger was beautifully cooked, onion rings were definitely home-made, chef was friendly and engaged with the table. Locals were friendly and the atmosphere made us stay longer. Would definitely visit and eat here again!

   The atmosphere isn’t the same here since the pub had a new Manager. Andy, Sue and the kitchen team continue to make you feel welcome and create a great atmosphere in the pub. Unfortunately the same cannot be said when they aren’t in, and the new members of staff do not share the same commitment to customer service. This is disappointing as this has always been our friendly, local pub which is now sadly lacking those qualities.

   Come full of expectation after reviews ...have to say didn't live up to standard i was hoping for ...I has mixed grill .exchanged the chicken for sausage...clearly states Cumberland sausage...it was just A normal pork sausage ...chips were terrible ..just cheap oven chips...wife had created yer own chicken breast ..well the chicken breast was tiny and I mean tiny ..cut it twice it was gone .... Worth the money. ?? No ..1st time going so won't completely destroy the place with a bad review but I won't go agen..

   We just had our works Christmas meal here and have to say we were all very pleasantly surprised. Where we have been previously the food always looks and tastes like it has been rushed or sat for hours due to the number of people they are trying to serve in one night over Christmas, but this was very different. Great value for money, the food was excellent and great service, we will definitely be back again
