Lovely place! Was attending a gig next door and went over for dinner, had ackee and salted fish, and fried dumplings. Really tasty and felt like homemade food. Definitely going back!

I had a really decent time here, celebrated my dad’s birthday and I couldn’t really fault anything here, the vibe was good and the food was decent, cocktails were nice. I read most of the bad reviews about this place and I think a lot of people here were just being negative. Me and my family had a great time to be fair

For your Caribbean flavour and the vibes. The service is always awesome. Friendly, welcoming and warm. If the spices in the food doesn't get you warmed up just order some good Jamaican rum. Will always return here for my island food and drinks. May you always be blessed

Large Curry Goat with rice and peas (Spicy) Regular Oxtail with rice a peas Fried Dunplings.. more like fried pebbles.. rock hard, dry, tasteless. Save your money, seriously. Food is bland, dry, no sauce at all. I ordered “spicy” variant, no spice at all, I literally added my own salt and pepper to make it even slightly edible. A really poor meal and not worth your time.

The food was fairly spicy, dry, and partially cold. Long waiting time, approx. 30 minutes. The peas are called red beans. The meat dish was mostly bone-in-oil with a little meat. And my vegan dish turned out to be vegetarian. The juice was supposed to be fresh, it was made of cardboard - and I asked specifically before. There was no cider on the menu, it was different from the menu. Drinks well and some two out of one. Vege burner was very disappointing. And the cauliflower pieces are very spicy. We spent about £ 55 and left hungry. I strongly advise against. The garden was ok.

My wife and I came here for our 11 year anniversary and really couldn't have asked for better food/service. They had even decorated the table with rose petals, candles and a handwritten sign just to make it extra special. I can honestly say that the food was some of the best we've tried in the town and some of the best Caribbean food we've ever had. The Dumplings and Stamp & Go were perfect, the Jersey chicken and Jerk Mac and Cheese pie were seriously good and the Chocolate and Orange cake was every bit as good as it looks. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive making sure we were always topped up with drinks & the waiting time in between courses was pretty good. We loved the decor and all in all this place is a real gem in a town full of good places to eat. Prices are very good too for the portion sizes. Thank you for making our anniversary so special, we will 100% be back again.

It's a little bit hard to find the place because online you will find it "Caribbean DutchPot" and the actual name of the pub is "The Press". We had happy hour cockteils on a Saturday and the waitress mixt our order with the table next to us. She didn't bring all cockteils together for everybody, and she forgot to bring two of them. The food and drinks take long to arrive. The food was not authentic tasting, and that was disappointing. Friendly staff, chilled atmosphere, but must be careful when serving customers. When we asked for the bill, we noticed that they forgot to add the last cocktails ordered. I told the waiter and she immediately changed the bill. It was obvious that she was overwhelmed, and ironically, the place was not crowded.
