Hands down the nicest. Fresh. Flavour. Can't beat it. They catered for a family event I hosted and loads of people asked for their number to order they Chinese from now.
This is usually our go to place. We ordered tonight and they sent the wrong chow mein. We rang to inform them and was told they would send the correct one straight out. I called back after 30 mins of waiting to be told the usual "the driver is on the way" I told them that its not acceptable to be waiting this long as the rest of the order is going cold. The response from the girl on the phone was "well im not to sure what you want us to do about that" unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour from a mistake that was there's to begin with. Disappointed in the service.
Never usually have a bad word to say about this Chinese. But we ordered chips and got given average oven chips and not actual Chinese chips! Such a disappointment to my meal.
Have used No 1 Wok quite a few times before never had bad food or service until tonight, got email confirmation at 18.50 still waiting for food at 20.00 called them said they'd not received order said I had confirmation then changed their mind to say oh yes have order it will be another 20 minutes. Asked for some kind of goodwill got told will add a bottle of pop. So looks like order hadnt even been started.....food eventually arrived at 20.25 very disappointing.
Been using this place for years never had a problem until tonight. Don't get me wrong the lady on the phone was polite and the delivery was just over half an hour Which was good however today The food tasted bland and we couldn't eat it Chicken fried rice no flavour tasted more like boiled rice not sure what's happened tonight as it's normally brilliant.
Bloody awful! 3 meals all wrong, the beef was disappointing to say the least! I've been a customer for nearly two years, always been happy before. Never getting my custom again. What a shambles. Threw my meal in the bin!!!!!
Well what can I say. Shame I have give 1 star I'd prefer 0 star rating ''online options'' What an awful takeaway food smells and tastes like cigarettes waste of food. £36 in the bin rang the chinese too explain all's they can say is we sorry. What a terrible experience never again. Steer away order from else where
Ordered take aways from here on a number of occasions,the food has been on time or early hot and very satisfying and tasty ,to my taste it's literally the number 1 wok .. highly recommended
Absolutely dreadful service!! Ordered food at 17.45 and by 19.25 still no food. Rang to be told it was with the driver who had left 25 minutes ago and would be with me any minute. 20 minutes later still no food. Same girl told me on next phone call that it was 5 minutes away. I told her seeing as it had been with the driver for 45 minutes it would be stone cold and would be given back and i wanted a refund. She left me on hold for 5 minutes to say yes, they'd refund me. Not had any confirmation of this yet, 20 minutes later. £37 and a hungry family of five sat here at 20.10. Disgusting, will never order from this company again, shocking service!!! Avoid like the plague!!! There are much better chinese takeaways, i wish i'd have stuck to my usual. Will not be back to no 1 wok again. They tried to blame it on traffic, i live 5 minutes drive from the shop!! Pathetic!! I will be chasing that refund for sure.
