   I've probably been to this restaurant....I don't know.....thirty or forty times - maybe 50 times? I don't know....and I have lots of other restaurants with which to compare it. I've been paid to assess customer service and food at hundreds of places. For UK and Northampton standards*: The value for money is good to great. The atmosphere is 'basic'. It has no designer lighting or extravagant wall decoration or carved wooden booths. It's a large room, with tables and chairs in it. The service is always good. Staff are always friendly. The food is consistently good, and staff will incorporate special requests or combinations. Portions are more than adequate although takeaway/delivery portions seem to tend to be larger. *on a few occasions, food has been disappointing - different people ordering different meals but getting approximately the same thing; dishes not being as they normally are; service being understaffed. New staff or replacement chefs might have caused this. It's happened so seldom relative to the number of visits I've made, the score is still a firm 5 for me.

   Absolutely amazing food, can't believe we didn't come here sooner. The staff are so polite and the owner is an absolute gem. Strongly recommend to friends and family, or anyone at this point. Have already told family from outside of Northampton they have to come here and experience the quality of food and flavour that comes out of that kitchen. Hats off to the chef and all the staff! Best restaurant in Northampton by far!

   Disappointing First Visit - High Price, Low Quality. ​My first time here was extremely poor. The restaurant was completely empty, yet the staff were inattentive, spending their time laughing and socializing instead of working, and their behavior was unfriendly.staff not much knowledge about food dish..The food itself was awful, with low quality that absolutely did not justify the high prices. I would strongly advise against visiting.

   This is honestly the best restaurant in Northampton! I celebrated my baby’s birthday here, and everything went so smoothly. The owner and staff were extremely supportive and made sure the day was special. What I really loved is that they allow you to bring your own booze, which makes the celebration even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for both family gatherings and parties!

   Ordered butter chicken and whatever I got was the spiciest dish I’ve ever had. Pointed it out to staff that it was obviously the wrong curry and they refused to acknowledge it let alone swap it. Not happy! Left very hungry!

   Seeing mixed reviews we were curious to check the restaurant out ourselves First impression, atmosphere was extremely lacking, no decor, no music, place seems like it was a last minute set up type vibe - think it would vastly improve overall experience if they added some cultural decor and also just invested more in how they store cups etc. beyond the counter. Half the restaurant was also dark as the lights were turned off, definitely gave a derelict vibe Service was slightly indifferent at the start, already felt quite awkward with the lack of people/atmosphere - but the younger server was extremely polite, smiling and improved overall experience Food was generally okay, ordered the poppadoms (sauce plate which accompanies was lovely), chicken korma - sauce was split and lumpy, chicken madras - not hot enough, and chicken was tough and overcooked, paratha - good size but undercooked at the bottom due to thickness but seemed Homemade which is great and naan bread which was quite nice. Overall I'd try it, might suit some tastes which can't handle too much heat/spice.

   Service awful, Food was excellent when it finally arrived, booked a table for 18 for 2030 well in advance, didn't get seated until 2145, staff kept lying about how long we'd be waiting. Food was slow out and scattered. Some people had finished their mains before others even had starters. Mains arrived around 2230. Food was decent when it got there but not worth the hassle. No offer to knock any money off bill was shocking given the time waited and service.

   Really disappointed. This used to be our go to curry on a lads night out, but won’t be from now on We turned up on time. There were only 10 of us so not a massive group. Took nearly an hour to take our order. Then food took 1.5 hrs to arrive. Arrived piece meal. Very bland. Naan undercooked. Fish massively undercooked. I get that when busy things can slip but they have a chance to apologise and put things right No replacement. No discount. Didn’t wanna know and didn’t care at all

   It says “Indian - Pakistani food” but honestly it has no authentic taste. Everything is way too sweet, and not even spicy at all. Biryani is so bland and tastes like fried rice and is not even properly cooked. Naans are also very sweet and taste like the processed ones from groceries store, not freshly made ones. If you are Pakistani or Indian or from Asia, I don’t think this restaurant suits you. I was so disappointed when I tried the first bite. I always eat at Al Fairoz but just wanted to try a new restaurant today but I would not come back next time. Anyway, the restaurant looks nice and you get hot towel and chocolate when you finish. Popadoms are good. If you can’t eat spicy then you can try.
