Apples a nice lady-always looked after my late mum Brenda..I found all the food to be of a high standard..my favourite dish was the pad krapow..
A hidden gem in the Stoke culinary desert. Great home-made food cooked while you wait. I don't think the door is always left open, so you may need to knock. It seems to be a one-woman operation, at least both times I have been here. I had deep-dried prawns in tempura with a dip - crunchy and delicious - and a beef curry. This was marked as "very hot" on the menu and it certainly was! The lady told me it was one of her father's favourite dishes and I could tell why. It was bursting with spicy flavours. I like hot food and this was one of the best, though I am sure there are milder choices too. Finally the bill was very reasonable, barely more than a sandwich and a drink would set you back in some places!
This is the best food we can find in town so far. Traditional Thai flavour with all necessary ingredients. Love it!
I booked a table 3 weeks ago for myself and 2 friends. Arrived to find another couple standing outside and the restaurant closed ! We rang the number and the owner came out asking if we had booked. She was very confused and flustered. She said we could go in as we had booked but the other couple couldn't as they hadn't booked. Obviously we declined as there was nothing prepped and we would be the only customers there. I suggest you ring before turning up. Not pleased at all
Great service from Apple who cooks and serves and does everything herself. Food was great and cheap too and quality was great. apple being friendly and kind made the experience fantastic and a night to remember
Appalling..musty cold dingy ..luke warm food..no atmosphere. Heating not on just a halogen heater..Only candles . We were the only customers..now I know why..health and safety nightmare..kitchen needs inspecting and a hair in the batter..service slow..Owner didn't care!
Highly recommend. Most delicious food, huge portions & cheap price. Host/chef Apple is so kind & funny. Everything was cooked fresh, attention to details was immaculate from water refills to folded napkins & interior is beautiful. Must visit restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent.
Delicious food, excellent host, wonderful atmosphere! My mum and I visited when I was sitting an important exam in that area, and we came there to unwind in between the exam days, and we had no regrets! The food was probably the best Thai food we ever had, and Apple, the host, was so attentive, sweet and funny. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone!
