We love visiting the Wedgwood Tea Room as part of our trips to immerse ourselves in the beauty and craftsmanship of the gorgeous pottery. We’ve enjoyed both the main menu (twice) and the afternoon tea, and every time the food has been of excellent quality. The savoury scones are a personal favourite—absolutely delicious! Service has varied on our visits, but our most recent experience was lovely. Daisy, our server, really stood out—she was so warm and attentive, even surprising us with a birthday treat that made the occasion extra special. Thank you, Daisy! We’ll definitely keep coming back, whether for a light snack, cake, or another indulgent afternoon tea.

The tearoom is pleasant , very light with colourful posters and a fun dragon made with plates and cups. My friend and I had each a cream tea. The teas were Ok but we were surprised to find no bags or tea leaves in the tea pot in order to make our tea stronger. We had very tasty and warm scones with cream - as for the jam, we think, it was strawberry(?). Now, an important point, for a place like Wedgwood with such an international reputation , it would be good to have the cream tea set ( plates , cups, teapot, sugar bowl ) matching for a better harmony on the table. I made a passing remark to the young man when paying but there was no reaction or acknowledgement.

Egg Benedict of Wedgwood Tea Room went well above average: yolks are just right, prefect muffins and exceptional cider braised ham hock topping… without mentioning the price/quality ratio and served in their very own tablewear that everyone comes for, it’s a must try for the visit.

Went on May 13th 2025 for my 65th Birthday. Really enjoyed the afternoon tea for myself, husband & three daughters. Everything about the day there was fantastic with endless tea to wash down the gorgeous sarnies & cakes all made to perfection. The service was excellent as was the decor and crockery. My family used to work for Wedgewood so wanted to experience the Wedgewood brand & equality. Thank you Liam & the staff for making my day.

Delicious afternoon tea in a beautiful setting with fantastic. This is the forth time we've been now and we've received the same high standard each time.

Had been hoping for a cream tea but they'd run out of scones so selected a trio of desserts instead and tea which all came perfectly served, as one would hope on Wedgwood china. Very pleasant!

I had a surprise baby shower here. It had a secluded area which was a perfect size for our purposes. Staff very knowledgeable, friendly and seems like nothing is too much trouble. Not cheap (we had the afternoon tea) but well worth the money. So beautifully decorated and the Wedgwood China is stunning. Toilets accessible but a little walk from the cafe.

Would not recommend afternoon tea at Wedgwood. We went as mum and 2 daughters for a birthday treat for mum. We should have spend the money on something else instead of this. We went to the front desk which states “please wait to be seated” About 5-6 staff wandering around the place doing nothing and not paying any attention to this front desk to check people in. After a while, we got seated and menus chucked on the table. Never asked what drinks we would like. Sat on a table that general public walk past after their tour or walking around the gift shop. Tables should be moved or we should have been asked if this table was suitable for us. After 20 minutes of watching even more staff just wandering around, a lady came to our table and asked us what we would like to eat. We waited, and waited, and waited!!! For 30 entire minutes for the afternoon tea to be delivered to our table. We had 2 stands, my mum and I shared and sister had her own. We noted that a table across the way was not occupied at all but the wandering staff placed an afternoon tea stand and cups on that table. Then low and behold…. A couple sat down at that table with their afternoon tea ready and waiting for them! The afternoon tea is not worth £27.50, We had to ask ask ask for more of the unlimited tea, the empty cups and teapots were not taken away like other tables had once fresh was brought out. As a born and bred Potter, I’m ashamed of Wedgwood providing this diabolical service. I will not be recommending and I certainly shall not be visiting again.
