Excellent food, so tasty, had a chicken and steak dish and both were delicious. I’m gluten intolerant and all the food was labelled up with GF stickers which made it clear to see which I could eat. Definitely recommend.
It's wonderful enough that we're able to order a mix of standard and gluten free dishes, so that I (a coeliac sufferer) can enjoy a takeaway with the whole family instead of having to make myself something separate. The fact the food is also absolutely delicious is just the cherry on the cake - I feel totally spoiled to have found Swan Lake and we'll definitely continue to get food from here.
After years of being gluten free and having to miss out on a Chinese takeaway, I stumbled across a website listing that said Swan Lake did gluten free meals. When I rang they reassured me that all their gluten free options were cooked separately, with separate utensils, pans and fryers. When we collected the meal, the chef came to see us and again explained all their precautions to prevent cross-contamination. The meal itself was absolutely lovely, I would highly recommend the restaurant. We'll definitely be ordering food from them again.
First visit to this one and definitely my new favourite and the best in the area Staff are friendly and polite and listen to what you’re ordering and any special additions alterations to the standard menu meal. absolutely beautiful plenty of meat and the sauce balance is spot on, fresh ingredients and the beef had a lovely flavour to it, but was a little chewy and the dish would absolutely blow you away if it was a little more tender and melty, but and I have to stress do not let that put you off. Definitely the best Chinese in the area, based on what Iv seen so far.
Best Chinese by far in the local area! Do fantastic food and always fresh! It's always busy which just shows how good the food is and the staff are always really friendly and informative. We wont go to any other Chinese now because of how good this one is

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway I've had, the food is always fresh, the meat is real. We're new to the area so have been trying the local ones out - and this so far is the best
How anyone can say that the food from here is great is beyond me. Ordered beef in black pepper sauce, beef practically non existent tasted awful. My wife had the duck chow mein which was a bit greasy. Left with a cak mouth within about an hour. Not sure if i went on an off night as this was my first time of trying this takeaway but i dont think i will be returning.
This isn't your normal off the shelf Chinese. The owners have a unique way of making you feel comfortable and well looked after as you dine. They welcome you and invite you to learn a bit about the dishes and where they came from. Honestly it is fascinating. I felt less like I had been out for a meal and more like I had found a new set of friends. Honestly away from the fact that all the food is fresh and Proper Chinese food (Not slung together Proper top nosh) if you get a chance go here you really won't regret it. We will be back ... regularly!
