As always food and service fabulous. Sandra and the team are very welcoming. The addition of the real fires are wonderful, always a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to Christmas day lunch at the Rising Sun Charlotte
Cannot thank the staff enough for making my granddaughters 5th birthday tea special. Nothing was to much trouble. With 3 dairy free grandchildren we can struggle with food. My grandchildren ate most of their meals. The food was delicious. Thank you again . Staff were helpful, friendly . High chair was available x
Took my grandson for Sunday lunch. We both had roast beef with all the trimmings. It was absolutely delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection! (My only criticism would be, there was not enough gravy) All the staff were super friendly and efficient. Will definitely be going back!

Very nice, friendly Greene King with Abbot on tap, as well as others. Food included a good range of well-marked vegetarian and vegan options, and we both enjoyed our meals (I'm vegetarian my partner is a meat eater). I was mainly served by Chloe who was very helpful. There's lots of seating both inside & outdoors, with ample parking. Dog-friendly. We'll definitely visit again.
The food was lovely but was disappointed with the staff and outcome of my complaint. I ordered the 2 courses for £15.99 and even mentioned that was the offer I wanted, ordered my food and then when I questioned the cost was told the brownie is no longer in the deal. One of the ladies was also quite rude when I brought up the cost. I was told that I could pay again with the brownie taken off and then they would refund my previous payment which could take a week. Was disappointed really as they didn't seem like they really wanted to help and weren't particularly bothered.
Not been here for a long time and was very pleasantly surprised. A lovely place, well organized and well staffed, friendly and welcoming. Our table was ready on time, there was a sight mix up with the order, but it was handled so well 5 stars is still justified. Food was lovely and the beer was equally excellent. Will be going back again.

We had four roast dinners and they were superb. The meat was really thick and plentiful, big fluffy Yorkshire puddings, rosemary roast potatoes, honeyed carrots. I’d recommend asking for extra gravy for the table
