Average food. The service was also average, staff took the order but didn't really engage beyond that. Unfortunately, the tea cups and the glass for tap water were dirty, which was disappointing and affected the experience. Table was sticky and had some crumbs on it.
I used to be a fan—until this offensive piece of trick marketing. My wife and I decided to go to Bella Italia after watching a movie. When we saw the sign outside offering 25% off food with any cinema ticket, we thought it was a nice bonus. So we had our dinner and showed our tickets to one of the staff members. He checked with the manager and came back saying the offer only applies from Sunday to Thursday. I paid the full price and thought, “Maybe I missed that detail.” But when I went outside and looked again at the poster, there was nothing about the days—just a tiny “T&Cs apply.” I went back in and showed it to the manager, who told me that the “T&Cs apply” means I should have asked first. That’s not fair marketing—it’s misleading. It makes you feel tricked, like the brand is trying to make a fool out of you. And it’s not about the small discount I lost; it’s about how they made me feel. In marketing, we say that brands don’t sell products—they sell feelings. Bella Italia sold me the feeling of being fooled. And that’s why I won’t go back.
Such a nice and lively restaurant, the service was perfect and we receive all our food so quickly. The food was absolutely amazing and fantastic.
Dianne is amazing, she is very helpful. And even arrange a free ice cream scone for my daughter as birthday surprise❤️ Food is good! Used tastecard to have 2 for 1 treat!
It was just poor all round to be honest. We turned up at our booking time, it was fairly empty, and we were immediately told that we had to have our starters and mains brought out at the same time to avoid massive waits between courses as the kitchen was so busy. So all our food arrived and the mains just sat there getting cold whilst we ate our starters. The kitchen did not appear to be at all busy. We were served the wrong drinks and told that items we wanted to order weren't available. The food was average but expensive. I've had much better from Zizzi, Prezzo and Pizza Express recently, all of which are very close by. Won't return or recommend.
Lovely meal attentive waitress only thing I would question but I'm not sure if this is usual but we didn't have our pizza cut up and when we asked they just gave us a pizza cutter
Food was truly awful. We think mine was burnt but it was so bad we couldn't identify the taste. The other 2 people in my group tasted my pasta with meatballs but refused to eat it. One of them now feels sick - not sure if that was his dish (special carbonara which also tasted weird) or mine:-( None of us are fussy eaters.
Not a great start, my son in law prebooked for 8 people online and paid £80 deposit, he also was asked to submit food order in advance from the festive menu to insure they had enough of that food available. We got to the restaurant to be told that non of the above was on their system, no sign of a festive menu at the set price. This was overcome by the waitress insuring we wouldn't be paying over the set price we were expecting from the festive menu. The food was OK this young man who served us during the evening was attentive. However when we got the bill it wasn't correct the £80 deposit was not taken off the total after we challenged it twice it was finally put right. My son in law booked it but I paid for the evening as a new years eve treat for my family so was disappointed it did go so well for us.
Nice restaurant. It was quiet when we went on a Saturday afternoon. Sadly, the staff would let us sit outside because they said they couldn’t see us. However, the food arrived relatively quickly. The food was okay, although Pizza Express and Zizzi’s both do better dishes. The food was cheap with the set menu. I probably wouldn’t visit again, as it didn’t seem particularly amazing and there are lots of other food options nearby.
