    Always great dealing with the guys at Howdens in Worthing. Ben on the front desk has a great knowledge of the Howdens range and was always enthusiastic and positive in his attitude whenever I had contact with him. Super helpful with suggestions, and accommodating of our delivery requirements.

    Bad experience with the Worthing branch. After spending several thousand pounds on a new kitchen with them, I was offered a free air fryer. Calling them a day in advance to check that I could come and collect it, I was advised that I could come the following day. On their advice, I travelled from my address in Horsham to the Worthing branch to collect the air fryer, only to be told it was out of stock. At first I was able to look past being called ‘mate’ as a customer, by some scruffy looking fella on the front desk, but then became annoyed that I’d travelled all that way only to discover they’d given me wrong information and that my journey had been in vain. I then requested that they kindly deliver the item to a nearby relative; a request that didn’t go down well, with 4 or 5 members of the team looking back at me blankly and with seemingly zero will to resolve the already tense exchange. ‘We don’t deliver mate, come back tomorrow’, was the guy’s response. My reply to this remark was to reiterate that they’d told me that the item was in stock and that I’d wasted my time travelling all this way, to which they then finally agreed to deliver the item to my relative. At this point, the mood and exchange had turned awkward and unfriendly. They must be great salespeople, I thought. Rather than OFFER to correct the situation, I’m left trying to barter with a room of 7 people. I left their office feeling uncomfortable, not just from their belligerent attitude but also with myself, for parting with all that cash with a company that didn’t deserve it. Recommend avoiding.

    Awful experience considering I've had two Howdens kitchens before. Nobody turned up for our appointment despite us visiting the showroom the afternoon before and confirming it. During subsequent appointment, showed no interest in the kitchen design, just "send me a plan". Got a ridiculous quote which he then refused to itemise unless I paid a 10% deposit! Ended up booking two design appointments at IKEA, total of 4 hours, got two useful suggestions to improve my kitchen, and bought an identical setup for less than a third of what these jokers wanted. Edit - now get generic reply that focuses on the price and completely ignores the poor service and highly questionable practice of demanding money before itemising their prices - if your guy is telling me a corner cabinet with articulated pullout costs "about a thousand", it would be normal for any retailer to confirm the price without demanding payment first, then I can compare, and decide whether I really want to pay you that, or buy the mechanism off Amazon and save myself £600. Won't ever consider Howdens again, will actively tell others to avoid, and suggest anybody reading this to do the same - save yourself the aggravation, buy from somewhere that has complete transparency in what you are getting

    I can not rate this Howdens high enough. Exceptionally helpful. By far the best Howdens on the south coast and maybe further. Very knowledgeable staff. They helped me every step of the way and had excellent aftercare too. Their manager Robert Burge, Ange, Jade and Laura are al stars

    Really stressful experience . Quoted us for wrong kitchen . Design plan wrong which meant one cupboard would not open due to handles on range cooker not taken into consideration !! Had to change which way door opens! Door still not in stock . Some handles and clips missing ! Wrong washer on tap had to spend time going to store and then being charged for it !!!! Plug hole stopper missing from sink when our plumber went to collect he was given one from display kitchen ??? No apology received the planner did not return any of our calls . All in all an absolute nightmare still ongoing 3 weeks since delivery !! We are blessed that we chose an independent fitter & not one from howdens as he has been amazing and god only knows what further damage we would have experience had we gone with their fitters .

    Initially good service and good designs. BUT when it came to installation there were fundamental errors in the design. Unnecessary spacing, no feed back during the design stating that if you have a certain appliance / cupboard installed then it will impact on other elements. No care, just after the money. I would use them for the design, take it elsewhere and pay the extra. Poor and no after care, there main interest is for the fitter. A generic reply. Shows the truley poor service you receive and that fact that they only care about their face and their income. Refer to the message from A Elliot below regarding the fridge. Buyer beware indeed.

    We were desperate for our staff kitchen to be re done. We wanted it to look great not the wreck that it had been for so long. Our builder recommended Howdens and to be hinest I was not that happy. I considered them as a cheap and nasty option. The designer came out to see us and made some simple suggestions that have made such a difference. We were not won over but decided to see the process through. OMG so thank fuk we did. We were just blown away with the range of products and materials available to us with in our very tight budget. We would never have considered using 2 slim line dishwashers side by side. We use one for dirty and one that's for clean. Take it out of the clean and put it in the dirty one. Then wash that one and start again. Something so simple has meant there's no rota for putting clean stuff away in cupboards and no need for the cupboards either. With their help we have created a really inspiring rest and lunch area. Will be coming back again for our kitchen at our house. Very eye opening.

    I can not express how happy I am with Howdens service and products. This is our 3 rd kitchen from Worthing Howdens. The staff here are so helpful and accommodating. The staff have always been totally open and honest in all aspects of not only design but also the possible impact on installation and its use as well. I was very invested in a particular design idea and had been to 4 different suppliers, ONLY our Howdens designer (Emma) pointed out the impact of this on the flow of our kitchens use. Once again I can not rate this depot high enough. Special Mention to Rob the manager, Laura, Jade and Night Hawk ( not sure of real name)
