We spent a lovely evening at River cafe on Saturday 6th to enjoy the Christmas menu. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere relaxed and Christmassy. Many thanks to the whole team not forgetting Laura and Sian who gave us great service with a smile.

Absolutely delicious vegan banoffee cake. My hopefully future husband also had a very tasty vegetarian breakfast, with lots of vegan meal options also available. Will definitely be back.

Easy to book a table on line. We had lunch on a horrible rainy Saturday. All the Staff were friendly & helpful. Am coeliac & there are plenty of GF options available. Also the staff were happy to adapt my menu choice . No rolling of eyes ! Our scrambled eggs on toast were hot. Welll cooked & nicely presented. For once I actually a hot cappuccino that tasted of coffee.

Absolutely delicious brunch in a lovely, calm atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing break — we stopped by on our bikes and really enjoyed some people-watching while we ate. Great food, friendly service, and a great vibe overall. Definitely a favourite stop!

Have been to the River Cafe & Bistro in Shoreham a few times in the past and always found it pleasant for a coffee and cake / pastry or sausage roll. Today we had full on breakfasts of varying sorts and all were spot on. Now my favourite cafe in Shoreham by far.

I was surprised to see that the prices are like in Brighton. Or a bit more. A regular oat latte, which is very small compared to other regulars, is £3.55. And also tasted quite watery. Disappointed. The staff is friendly, hence the three stars.

Good location Found a free table al fresco wasn't sure whether it's table service or order inside. So went up to order staff appeared to be struggling although it wasn't busy 09.30 . Ordered a tall coffee, flat white and authentic Churros, vegan sausage roll. When arrived small coffee, flat white in a glass wasn't hot Churros are frozen and look like the ones you can buy in Lidl. Sausage roll was tasteless. Unfortunately wasn't sure how to identify staff from customers apart from girls making the coffee and although polite when order given to us no serviettes or can I get you anything else offered or enjoy no interaction, no customer service really. Shame as good location and menu sounds good on paper just staffing really let it down a little customer service goes a long way. We have been here before and was very welcoming and a very pleasant experience

Perfect. Atmosphere, food, staff. In town for a few days and have been twice. I will be back again. Had Buddha bowl and eggs and bacon on toast. Not the cheapest but great quality and quantity for both so worth it. Well prepared and presented. Friendly and observant staff. I travel a lot and am surprised at some of the negative comments. Not my experience at all.

Super cool coffee house in Shoreham. Ever since moving to Shoreham I haven't had a good cup of coffee until now. Excellent home blend of espresso beans. Instantly ordered a second. Better looking from the inside. And to top it off the staff are laid back and very friendly. Possibly the best review I've given.

Great place for brunch. Halloumi and scrambled eggs on sour dough toast - eggs were a bit runnier than I prefer but still very tasty. Dog friendly which is a bonus! Bit pricey.
