This is a gem of a pub for people who just want a drink without food, crisps/nuts are available though. Great choice of ales & beers with something new to try everytime we come here & you can still get a pint for under a fiver which as we all know is very rare these days. The locals create a nice friendly atmosphere helped by the excellant bar staff. The only reason i've not awarded all five stars is because there is only the one wc.

Lovely Ale house. The London Black is a great pint and serves well. Lovely to be in a pub where people chat as there isn't music and TV. (Apart from the live band nights) Really enjoyed it , will be back and not only for the London black. (Didn't mean to go all dr Seuss).

Ale house with a homely feel. Tucked in the corner of a few shops, this place was nice to chill in. Good beer selection.

Fantastic beer at a more than reasonable price. Dont expect bells and whistle, TV and music. This is a proper traditional English public house. No food served but a great range of bar snacks.

One of the smallest but nicest drinking spots in Lancing. Good drinks and priced fairly with a nice atmosphere

Cons: expensive. Pros: literally everything you want in a real pub. Not only a great selection of craft beers, but also an owner who knows and cares about what he sells. A lively, friendly atmosphere, where other pubgoers will engage with you. Basically a house party with awesome drinks. This place is a little jewel hidden in a tiny corner of a little town.

Great micropub. Excellent beers, good range of drinks. Friendly staff. A real pub. Can take eats in from surrounding eateries.

Friendly, comfortable pub with interesting photo's and artifacts serving very very good ale. Why only four stars? Too many five star reviews which should reflect 'cannot be improved' in my opinion. No business should stop trying to improve and it doesn't appear the Stanley will.
