   Down from leeds to watch Brighton match quite pub only 6 of us in, beer was ok staff friendly just had the one drink

   Super mod/soul day today (7th Sept 2025, 1 to 5pm). Hoping they do this on a regular basis: DJ playing mod soul classics on vinyl, then home for a roast! Vespas and some charming bull dogs joined in with the vibe. Well done Farmers.

   I went into the Farmers on a Sunday for a quick pint on the way home from a stag do. The barmaid who served me was very friendly and the service was good (pint was fine). I took the pint outside as it was a nice afternoon, that's where the trouble started. Shortly after I sat down, a cheap blue sports car raced into the car park right behind me at high speed. As soon as the moron driving it stopped the car, they started screaming nonsense in a high pitched voice and swearing, doing this all the way from the car to the pub. Then, when they exited the pub with their drinks, they brought with them what I can only describe as a muscle bound knucklehead (think an orangutan that you've pumped full of steroids then tattooed all over). The big tattooed ape then did a lap of the beer garden, growling at people and sitting down on the tables of some drinkers just to intimidate them (which is weird, because if you punched him in the face and then jogged away at a medium jog he'd never catch you). I'd have stayed there for a few pints. Instead I didn't even finish the one I was drinking, I just left the ape and the screeching morons and left. Shame, because the service was really good and it was a lovely day, but that's why the place was empty. Went to The Railway, which was completely full (including with two people I had seen leave the farmers when monkey-boy came out); no prizes for guessing the difference between the two.

   Amazing roast dinners, Beef was cooked to perfection, roast spuds were spot on, veg and gravy was lovely, highly recommend!

   A local pub for local people. Reasonable prices, well kept pints but the punters can be a bit larry. Couple times walked past and it was a bit fighty outside. When inside the same, but more tame in all fareness. Good amount of space for a DJ on the weekends but more of a venue that relies on it's regulars than new traffic.

   Proper locals boozer, have used it a few times and it's always been ok. Will show the footie if you ask, assuming not already on and seem to organise events etc pretty regularly, hosts private parties etc too. I like it.
