    Halfords, Uckfield was a great experience, I was greeted by Steve who immediately started to work on my problem which was a headlight bulb failure. Steve was very helpful pleasant and knowledgeable. He recommended and fitted two headlight bulbs and searched and got a discount off both of them and then fitted them. Would highly recommend this store and especially Steve

    The bike my daughter wanted for her birthday was in stock on the website but I was told in store it wasn't, so I ordered it online and went back in store to collect. The chap that said it wasn't in stock then apologised for saying so because he was busy with other things which I don't think is good enough! I waited at the collection point for about 30 mins for him to first acknowledge me then bring me the bike which he still had to do a PDI on he used the wrong size spanners and sockets to check everything. I won't ever use Halfords in Uckfield again. And why do you need to people to fit a bulb in someone's car???

    DO NOT LET HALFORDS TOUCH YOUR CAR OR GO UNDER YOUR BONNET!!! I went to Halfords in Uckfield for what should have been a simple battery replacement. The store manager fitted my car battery the WRONG way around, the damage caused is potentially going to cost me my car. I dont know yet because its taken TWO weeks to get it into a garage. And worse still, two weeks later, I still don’t fully know the extent of the damage. What made this even worse is that for an entire week after the incident, nobody could tell me where my car even was. It contained many of my belongings and I was left completely in the dark. The only reason my car was finally seen by a garage was because I contacted a Honda dealership myself and begged them to assess it. Halfords’ customer service and insurance handling have been absolutely shocking. I was due to move house two days after this happened and had to do so without my car with multiple pets and all my belongings. It was an incredibly stressful experience, and Halfords offered no meaningful help at all. Despite admitting responsibility, I have been left chasing constantly. Emails to their insurance company take more than a day to get a response, there was no courtesy car, and only a small amount of money was offered towards a hire car, and only after I pushed for it a week later. It wasn’t even enough to hire a similar vehicle for the length of time I’ve been without mine! On the night it happened, the store manager seemed apologetic, but since then she has completely disappeared. I’ve had no follow-up, no reassurance, and no communication from her whatsoever. I’ve even emailed CEO Henry Birch directly and commented on his LinkedIn posts in desperation, and I’ve still had no response. A simple battery change has turned into weeks of stress, uncertainty, and disruption to my life, at a critical period when I was moving house. I would STRONGLY advise anyone to think twice before trusting this store with their vehicle. I still have no idea when I will have my car back... or if I will even get my car back. I am also still without a courtsey vehicle. I thought it was important to share my experience as I would hate to think of this to happen to anyone else.

    Would 100% recommend this Halfords branch for a quick once over of your car. Dave there was excellent and saw to my every need. For a first time driver who just got his first car, Dave went through the 10 point checklist they offer with me and gave my such valuable advice which will help me a lot going forward. Will be asking for him specifically during the times I need to return

    Visited your Uckfield branch earlier today for a bulb. I spoke initially with Steve who advised me of the benefits of particular bulbs. These were purchased and between Steve and Murray, changed the bulbs for me.Genuinely, these guys were so polite and helpful and cracked the job in no time.     Steve was extremely helpful with explaining the various car battery charger options and what the differences were as there is a huge pice range. He spent plenty of time helping look at all the different chargers and explained the differences and which would be the better spec for my car. He also went out of his way to check if there were other chargers in the store room that were not of the shelf and even checked a few specifications and details of other items that were not in store but online . I had completely forgotten I had a Halfords Motoring Club account and he looked up my details and explained how to use it. Excellent service and a really nice guy who gave me 100% of his time. I will ask for Steve next time I go in for peace of mind I am buying the right thing. Got home and charger is brilliant, thanks Steve.

    Steve was amazing, even though the store was short staffed. He gave up his lunch break to help us. Explained everything clearly to us. Helped my children try the bikes for height suggested both go up a size or 2 to get the best out of the bike. Very friendly. And kind
