   Steve at steves autos is a absolute pleasure to do business with! Im a first time customer at steves autos and it started at mixed feelings but ended as all good feelings! I recently had a timing belt kit fitted at another garage and iv been left with a annoying whining noise, So i took a punt on steves autos as a few people i know recommended him as being honestly with great knowledge of cars. At first i was feeling abit low as nobody else could here this annoying whining sound, So i went to pick up the car feeling a tad low but when i got there i was kindly greeted by the owner steve himself, I explained my concerns and not only did steve deal with me himself but he also took my car for a test drive himself and bang on, He could hear the same sound i could here but nobody else could, Not only could he hear it to but he also took it upon himself to check my car, locate the sound, diagnosed the sound and completely reassured me thats its absolutely fine other than being annoying at very low speed, Steve himself went above & beyond to make sure his customer was completely happy even tho hes never seen me before! Thats what makes a great business and for that i can recommend steves autos for great & honest customer service! THANKS STEVE @STEVE'S AUTOS 10/10

   Absolutely Disgraceful – Worst Garage Experience Ever Avoid Steve’s Auto like the plague. This has been the most frustrating, dishonest, and unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with a garage. I brought my van in because it was overheating. I told them straight up: if it’s the head gasket, don’t touch it. I couldn’t afford that kind of repair at the time. They claimed it wasn’t the gasket, went ahead and did work without flagging any major issues, and charged me £1,000. When I picked it up and took it for a test drive, guess what? Still overheating. Same exact problem. Took it straight back, and after another round of checks, suddenly now they say it is the head gasket. So either they were completely incompetent the first time, or they were just happy to take my money knowing it wouldn’t solve the problem. Either way, disgraceful. But it gets worse. My mother-in-law recently took her car there for a check. She suspected something minor might be wrong, but nothing serious. As soon as they saw a woman walk in, they clearly thought they could take her for a ride. They told her the gearbox was faulty—a total lie. We took the car straight to a reputable garage for a second opinion. The gearbox was absolutely fine. All it needed was brake pads and discs. This garage is either scamming people or completely clueless — possibly both. They don’t care about transparency, they don’t stand by their work, and they clearly try to exploit people who don’t know much about cars. I wouldn’t let them touch a bicycle, let alone a van or car. Total cowboys. Stay far away.
