I don’t understand how Ming Wai isn’t 5 stars. We order from them (more than is healthy…) and have never had a disappointment. The good is always hot, fresh and delicious. The menu variety is great. I have always been warmly welcomed when picking up an order or when call in. This is my go-to takeaway.

Ordered a takeaway from here, and it arrived promptly. However, what we received was disappointing to say the least. I ordered a ming wai special chow mein, and what arrived was a greasy soggy mess with undercooked meat and very pale looking chicken swimming in a pale grey greasy fluid, with an unusual smell to it. I ate a couple of mouthfuls, and gave up. My partner ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, and chips that came undercooked, so she ended up making a chip butty to make up for it. Never again will we order from this place again!

Food was good, but unfortunately they forgot the prawn crackers. Think they were extremely busy. They did give me a replacement for the forgotten Prawn Crackers, great customer service. Lovely food tonight, they have a new menu, prices are up slightly, but it is worth it.

We had a great meal, fab crispy beef, BBQ ribs. Chicken chow mein, asked for extra onions & bean shoots which made the chow mein even better. So we will definitely go back. One star deducted by my husband, as he said it would be good if they used cardboard boxes instead of plastic containers.
