   Haven't had a Chinese for a long time so we thought we'd have one tonight, Hong Kong used to be the best Chinese in Rugeley, sadly tonight's meal wasn't so good! I had chicken satay, there was no sauce and it didn't have that lovely satay taste like it used to, my husband had a chicken curry and he said his was bland! We both had to add salt to the meal to give it a bit of a taste. After years of going here I'm sorry to say we will be looking to have a takeaway from somewhere else in the future.

   Decided to pick up a beef curry and spicy spare ribs for convenience. What a mistake!!! Curry sauce the consistency of thick wall paper paste, the ribs weren't much better, greasy and little or no spice. Won't be going back.

   Have used this Chinese takeaway over the years and it has never disappointed. The food is always tasty and has always been consistently good. I don't tend to have an overly salty mouth after eating like other Chinese restaurants/takeaways.

   Still awful food, haven’t used for ages due to poor & inconsistent cooking, coupled with being overpriced for the quality. However, them being local and us late night working amongst other things tonight, we decided to play safe and just have a curry & rice, how can they get that wrong we thought? Well, they did. No more than 8 small pieces of thin chewy beef, no peas, peppers or mushrooms. Just shed loads of onion in a watery tasteless sauce, soggy spring rolls but the fried rice was ok… so annoying as their prices have gone up so much, yet the standard has gone down beyond repair! Will not be using again after this.

   Quick, polite service with excellent food and more than ample portion size. I had the house special chow mein. Came in two pots. Lots of meat and king prawns. I had a dish of the same name in Yeovil recently. It was one pot, some tiny pieces of meat, and the prawns, well they were more like shrimp embryos. And!!!! More expensive. Very disappointing. If you're ever in Somerset, avoid Yeovil and go to the lotus house in Wincanton. Same portion size as Rugeley, and just a few p dearer.

   First time and last time will order. Had better meals for less £25 for dinner to be thrown in bin waste of money. Crispy chicken in plum sauce tasted like lemon sauce and very watery. Chicken was like eating rubber. Chips tasted like battered fish and the rice was like cheap packet rice.
