Like something from the 80s . £5 for a large chips I could count the chips on the plate . When challenged they do not cater for families I was one man just wanted a decent lunch ! Chips were dry never again!

Very traditional proper chippy. Pricing very competitive with excellently generous portions - very high quality food, no soggy batter! Visited around 1.15pm and wait time was short, service was lovely. Do not hesitate

my husband said " one of the best fish and chips store" He and his daughter loved here for many many years. This was my second time, portion was huge for medium size, spike hot!. very friendly service!

Visited whilst in the town centre when I fancied some real chips and I wasn't disappointed. The chips were a good size and not greasy. I had a fishcake with these and it was fluffy and light inside with a nice, crisp coating. Again, this wasn't greasy. You could eat in or out (I chose to take out) and the seating area looked well presented. Staff were really friendly and the portion size was good value for money. Best thing was you can help yourself to salt and vinegar, something that most chip shops will not allow you to do anymore! Great place!

Ordered fish and chips but due to a communication error with previous customer had to wait alot longer than originally told. Fish and chips were worth the wait and will definitely visit again.

Used to visit here everytime I visited Burton, last time was probably 5 years ago and I always remember the chips were amazing and today didn't disappoint - even my parents agreed. You can get a child's portion for £1.80 or a regular for £2.60 and a regular was enough for us all to have a good portion, compared to chippys near me who would charge £3.50+ for what we received today, I am so glad to support this local businesses and it's great that they haven't skyrocketed their prices. The chips were so tasty and I haven't had chips in form of a come for so long, it was beautiful!! Can't wait to go back. The staff were also very nice and they did the chips fresh when ordered. Yum!

A dull featureless place with no atmosphere. Relatively clean. Chips were above average but the fish which was freshly cooked was bland. Only saving grace was the friendly lady that took my order but unfortunately it was the end of her shift and the rest of the staff were non attentive. My meal was eaten in silence and I felt very self conscious. Its definitely a place that I will avoid at all costs. An extremely disappointing experience.

We were in Burton shopping and went and sat inside to eat. We had 3 medium fish, chips and peas, 2 soft drinks and a tea. Service was speedy but unobtrusive, food seemed cooked to order, it was piping hot and very tasty. We will definitely call in again when we are in Burton.

Absolute little gem! I was totally give up having a proper, medium cooked juicy beef burger till I've found this place. Big portion of fish and hand cut chips. Reasonably priced, staff is nice. Relaxing, simple atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place!
