   Super friendly, passionate and incredibly knowledgeable owner. Genuinely cared about the coffee he was making for us and where and who the beans were sourced from. Coffee was lovely - I would have been shocked if it was not! Will return when passing through and would buy a bag of beans online from him without hesitation. A pleasure to find and visit.

   The coffee I received was scorched, burnt and brittle with a lot of oiling after only a week of being roasted. Absolutely not as described and impossible to extract any flavour other than burnt. Refused a refund and blamed my palate despite pictures and clear description. Did not respond to follow up email. Mistakes happen but ignoring a clear and obvious one while blaming the customer is a shame. Plenty of better roasters available and would not recommend Symposium at all and certainly won't use them again.
