Staff were friendly and welcoming. Although busy they checked to find us a table and were happy taking our order. The beer we ordered, Moongazer Hare Today and Humpty Dumpty Christmas Crackling were well kept. We were updated on progress and were served 2 full looking plates, we both went for the steak and ale pie with roast potatoes. Everything served was warm and delicious and filled us up nicely on what was a miserable day weather wise. It was good honest hearty food well cooked and well presented. I fully recommend the Wig and Pen as a place to eat and drink. Thanks

Great spot for a Sunday lunch. Delicious nut roast and 2 Yorkshire puddings. Great staff and service. Consistently good , lovely place to sit outside in the summer. Favourite spot in Norwich for the veggie roast. Only downside you can’t pay by cash, but do remember to take some so you can tip the staff.

Argyle on tour !! 9hrs to get here by train but a 20 minute walk to this pub and with a nice real ale in my hand it mattered not. Nice bar staff....very friendly and even guided me to a few more pubs on the way back to Carrow Road stadium. Lovely old traditional pub steeped in history. Sadly, another bad day for Argyle.....we got stuffed 6 - 1. Ah well....only another 9hrs to get home....

We went Sunday lunchtime, didn't fancy a roast so had a tasty halloumi wrap instead! Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere inside, toilets lovely and clean! Haven't been to this pub in a very long time, but will definitely be popping in again soon!

Lovely pub just up from the magistrates court in Norwich. A good range of local beers were on tap and well kept. The staff were friendly and had good knowledge of the beer. It's lovely in the summer when they open outside and you can watch people while drinking a beer. They also serve food but, on this occasion we didn't eat there. Would definitely recommend that you visit.

I've visited this pub frequently over many years when in Norwich. You always get a friendly welcome. Food is good. Real Ales are well kept. They now have a lot of outside seating under large umbrellas as well as two bars inside and a room tucked away at the back. Excellent pub.

Great place. The outdoor gazebo is super cool, and the vibe and atmosphere is super fun. The servers are lovely, a bit slow but to be expected on a Saturday night. Would reccomend for a visit, the food looks great but can't comment is it tastes good !!

Last minute choice for Sunday lunch. Service was exceptional with table service and hello with an allergy. Real ales on tap. Roast dinner looked great. Steak and ale pie very moreish. Desserts were even better - rhubarb and apple crumble had a toasty crunch topping and smooth custard. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended. We will be going back!
