Absolutely fantastic carvery today, food so fresh. Apple and raspberry crumble was amazing best I’ve ever had. Definitely one of the best roasts in the local area.

Quaint old pub in the middle of nowhere. Plenty of parking. Didn't eat but had a nice well kept pint of real ale.

Great fish and chips, all fresh and prepared on the premises. We had to book a couple of days in advance, but well worth it. 1st fish and chips since Mr's Ts burnt down, and nearly as good.

Roast second to none, staff amazing and worth ringing to book as he gets busy, so don't just turn up expecting as he might just turn you away as fully booked. Excellent food all the way.

Cod, chips n peas like it should be. Hand peeled spuds for hand cut chips. Superb large cod, all served piping hot. Best chips I have had since I was a lad. Could I improve on it...hell no. Thank you to the staff.

Sunday Lunch. We took our parents (in their 80’s), my brother who emigrated to Australia 30 ish years ago (with Aussie wife) and son aged 26. We all had Sunday Roasts. It was exactly as I remember a home cooked roast however better as the choice of veg was huge. The meat is carved for you and we had a choice of Turkey, beef or gammon (or a slice of each) with Yorkshire pud. You were then able to serve yourself whichever veg you wanted, our choice was roasted potatoes, roasted parsnips, green beans, peas, carrots, mashed potatoes cauliflower cheese, brussel sprouts with hot gravy. The dessert selection was tops, we all had some however mum and dad went for the treacle pudding with custard, how traditional was that! My brother (from Aussie) said it had rekindled his love for home cooked roasts. The staff were so attentive and friendly. This is not our first time here and will definitely not be the last! Terry and team do such a fab job with their service and food.

Food got for kings and queens! Plentiful and just so tasty we’re the words we used to describe our carvery. Three choices of meat, seven different vegetables including what can only be described as the most tasty cauliflower cheese ever. Terry, the unassuming landlord, gives a friendly warm welcome to his free-house and offers up ‘proper’ food. Various nights also offer various dishes, such as a steak night, fish and chip night to name but two. The venue is best described as a traditional pub. There is very generous parking but despite this, my recommendation would be to book in advance. The landlord is Covid conscious and is limiting crowds in a responsible way. Can’t wait to get back here for food and drinks. Highly recommended.
