Brought ice cream few months ago and was way out of date and again brought another food item today to find out of date was dated 18.07.25!!! Check your food before eating! Will not be buying from here again.
Doing an EVRI return, I had not been for some months and noticed the refurb bright lights wider isles and new location for QR scanner to print labels. No need to pell off backing anymore!! Item scanned at counter then you have to enter your email and surname on shops hand held unit. All good and easy. I was taken aback by the vast range of confectionery on offer along with alcohol. Friendly helpful staff on my visit (patient when I had to enter my details); good experience. Main bus stop direction to Eastbourne directly outside (includes 12/13 X limited stop buses.) Temporary ramp outside for wheelchairs/buggies.

Been going to this store for many years. Unfortunately the usual very helpful Assistant was not in this morning. Instead I After I said good morning brightly, I was greeted with a very luke warm good morning I knew then it was probably going to go downhill from there. I took my Amazon item in to return, after printing off my label using the QR Code I took the label with my boxed shoes to the counter. The Assistant told me rather curtly that I should package up my parcel as the lid of the shoe box could be taken off & the shoes taken out! It clearly states in the Amazon instructions that you do not need to package up your item but that the store would do it for you. I informed them of this but they kept saying let me speak - whilst I was informing them of the Amazon instructions! Won’t go here again & I have reported them to Amazon. It’s such a shame because the usual lady assistant is so helpful.

I don’t appreciate being told to collect my parcel/s sooner than I did today (for once I collected later than usual) It isn’t my fault if there are “too many parcels” awaiting collection. I’m a parent, I’m busy and things happen in life so collecting my parcels don’t become a priority. To be even fairer, the courier allows 7 days maximum until it’s sent back to seller. Won’t be purchasing from here again or collecting parcels.
Great newsagent and general store. He sells pueblo tobacco, which is great as its the only shop in peacehaven that does.
Nice, patient shopkeeper who helped me post a parcel with Hermes. Easy.
