   Quite a relatively smaller shop than other Lidl, meaning it is very messy. Only 4 tills and no self checkout so quite long queues. Produce is as expected from any Lidl store, with a good variety at good prices.

   Lidl is great, the south coasts shopping centre hero! It is the light of Newhaven, it brings a smile to my face to see the bakery fully stocked!

   The shop is too small for how busy it gets. As such, its usually very messey with boxes everywhere and items in the wrong place. Staff try their best but ultimately are up against it. Simply not suitable for the large catchment area. Products as as you would expect. Decent, no frills with the occasional bargain and quality item.

   OK so prices have gone up slightly, but I can still get best value for money at Lidl. The only thing I couldn't get there was the pedigree dog pouches. The dog is fussy but my food is great.

   Very busy, but there were some bargains to be had - provided you could get near the goods, not always easy with the press of people around. Very hard working cashiers, queues moved remarkably quickly.

   They appear to have put an extra aisle in plus have pallets of stock in the aisles not being worked. Impossible to get a trolley down a couple of the aisles and even the empty aisles block as soon as someone stops to get something off a shelf. Very disappointed, liked them in the past, won't be going back

   I normally have no problems at Lidl so I don’t know if I was unlucky on this visit or things are changing - mid afternoon on a week day there were so many empty shelves and freezer spaces I wasn’t able to get much of what I wanted - what I got was as I would expect it to be and the staff were helpful. Hopefully it will have more in stock next time.

   Unless your skint avoid this place like the plague. If your family eat fresh produce on the day, it will suffice…just! The queues at any time after 830 are just laughable. They constantly baulk at an express checkout and consistently leave customers with no social distancing in place, in long, exposed queues. The staff are as miserable as any I have encountered. The manager is pleasant enough until needing to work outside his remit and be friendly…not a kind, more like arrogant approach to customer complaints. Shop is hardly ever tidy and most foodstuffs handled way too much but probably due to the lack of good produce on show. So if you need the prices to be competitive then it’s okay, anything else then Sainsbury and Morrison are only a short distance away.
