   My shopping experience today was excellent. I was initially unsure whether they would accept my request to exchange a few items I had purchased earlier, especially since I had lost the receipt. However, the floor manager and the customer service representative were extremely friendly and assured me that they would consider the exchange this time. They kindly reminded me to keep the receipt for future visits. This level of customer care has definitely made me a loyal Matalan customer going forward.

   Definitely filling a gap in the smart, middle and low price range. BUT really disappointing that even after a recent refurbishment they do not provide basic TOILETS you know the place where everyone needs to go! Instead they are happy to send you across the main road to a supermarket!

   Not much choice in fashion for mens shirts and small selection of elasticated trousers apart from work trousers they've got some part elasticated at the back of the store and not every woman wants baggy trousers

   Fab customer service. The lady who looked to be the manager or person in charge was so friendly at 9 am on a Saturday morning, even made a point of speaking to me as leaving the shop. The lady who served me dressed as a 'cracker' was fab also, really friendly and polite. All staff looked happy to be there, which I know is hard as retail can be a very horrible place at times.

   I arrived at Matalan for the 2nd time, it is not in the city area where we live, but I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by the multitude of clothing accessories and shoes, starting with babies and ending with adults, even a varied range for men with a very large part of products that, unfortunately, very few stores offer an assortment and a large space for men. acceptable prices, kind staff.

   Always shop here and never had issues except today. My DISABLED mum (god bless her heart) was dying for the toilet. She has medical issues to do with incontinence. NATALIE the store manager was not helpful at all. Tbh found her extremely rude. She did not give me a chance to explain, just spoke over me and she “Company policy, even if your pregnant”. They used to let her go all the time. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I will be taking it to head office.

   So reading the reviews after my visit this morning and I wasn't surprised. Not enough plus sizes (sorry). Prices were good and the selection but not in my size. Will go back after a couple of weeks.
