   Been in the UK visiting relatives and had a few jobs to tackle but amazed that B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation don't have anything useful in stock. Bakers DIY came up trumps every time except for one and even then they explained they couldn't get the item I wanted any longer from the stockist. Helpful and polite staff too - can't rate them highly enough. Thanks for helping me out guys.

   Great DIY shop and very friendly helpful staff. Wide selection of items presented well and organised so easy to find what you are looking for without walking miles. If you can't find what you need staff readily available to assist. Definitely recommend over larger diy stores.

   I visited Bakers last Friday to purchase 4 metres of fire cord for my wood burners door's. After reaching home I found that I had in fact come away with 3.7 metres. As I had walked there from my home and I had enough to fit the door's. I did not return but I advise anybody buying by the meter at Bakers to check the length before leaving the shop. Sad for a family run business.

   I found what I was looking for. It is nice to find on old fashioned Ironmongers that caters for just about anything. I would recommend to try them out.

   Very helpful knowledgeable owner. The only downside is the price you pay for some items. One particular tem was the same price as a DIY chain, but for only half the quantity, so only shop there as it's near if I need something quick and can't wait for delivery.
