I’m not saying there is anything wrong about a Greggs sausage roll, but why on earth would you want one of those when you could have a 5 star lunch that made your senses dance? The food at Chakra is without exception just wonderful, every plate, bowl or mug simply joyful. I can tell you how tasty the food is but take a look at how darn pretty it is…..now you can have your flabby beige sausage roll if you want to but I’m going to stick with the warm friendly Chakra staff and the vibrant food …..see for yourself. You’ll feel awesome

The vegan breakfast and vegan thali - Excellent. Tasty, filling and a welcome change from the run of the mill vegan breakfast offerings found elsewhere. Delightful staff and a cool vibe.

We booked a table in advance which was fine, but unfortunately the table was dirty when we arrived. I asked for it to be cleaned and a rather grumpy waitress came over, gave it a quick wipe, and in the process just spread the crumbs around. I ended up having to use the laminated menu to scrape the table clean myself, which left a layer of grease and crumbs on the edge of the menu – not a great start. I ordered the vegan thali but found it very salty and more like a ready meal than freshly made. On the other hand, my wife and son enjoyed their meals, so perhaps I was unlucky with my choice. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a cosy feel, which was a positive. Overall though, the experience was mixed and let down by the service and the food in my case.

Was looking for somewhere a bit different to have lunch on a short visit to Buxton, and this café caught my eye! I was greeted by a friendly and smiley young waitress who made me feel really welcome. The café was very busy, almost full, but she found me a table close to the entrance. I loved the cosy but vibrant atmosphere, and the colourful Indian decor with its intricate artwork and abundant floral decoration. Family friendly and dog friendly. The toilets are up a flight of stairs, but they were clean and well kept. There was lots of choice on the menu, from street food to imaginative main courses, and breakfasts with an Indian twist. I ordered the Desi English Breakfast, which combined the familiar British bacon, sausage, fried egg and mushrooms with potatoes flavoured with cumin and a bowl of masala spiced beans. Well cooked, with just the right level of spiciness, and ample portions. There was a wide choice of unusual and creative hot and cold drinks, but I opted for the straight latte, and it was very good. Pity I was so full, because there was a tempting selection of cakes and pastries to try. Service was both quick and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable. I was so glad I found this place! Would happily recommend!

absolute treasure in centre of Buxton! (honestly nearly didn’t pop in but sooooo glad we did) ! Delicious matcha latte and THE BEST GF Vegan cake I have ever eaten: Almond and pistachio torte. Staff are lovely and friendly and (NB we called in to a Pudding Emporium around the corner to enquire if we could have a cuppa - got extremely frosty reception) so happy to have discovered Chakra longe!

Excellent brunch. Very warm welcome, great atmosphere created by the layout and decor. Indian relaxed style makes for a pretty unique cafe experience which is a fusion of the English with Indian. Great idea, interesting menu and.wondefully created fresh food. Everybody loved their meal and we will definitely revisit. All topped off with fast, efficient and welcoming service. Nice job.

Very lovely Indian place to eat. Plates ate preferably to share and they’re exceptionally well cooked, very tasty and lots of vegetarian choices. The staff were super friendly and explained some of the dishes for is which was great.very good quality. The building itself it’s just beautiful.Really really impressive! I found it a slight modern twist on a traditional curry style restaurant. The setting is amazing, the ambience is really chill, food was all great, good level of spice! Plenty of drinks & juices options, friendly staff and overall worth visiting! We’ll be back.

One of the best veggie burgers (bagel) with rainbow fries and coleslaw I have eaten. Many other items, both smaller and bigger, that I would like to try simply because of the variety in flavour combinations! The cakes, I had the key lime pie, and coffees also have many flavours to choose from. Have to come back..

Interesting cafe with a selection of Indian style drinks and food. Like 'what Indians would do if they have breakfast' there is a large selection of food and drinks with great spices. There was a very good vegan selection. Baked goods and savory dishes.

Wonderfully flavoured hot drinks & food perfect for sharing! This allowed us to try a few more dishes. The food is exquisite, real traditional Indian Street food & not lacking in flavours at all! I would say it was slightly overpriced for the portions (in the photos each dish was £4-5, hot drink was £3.50 each) perhaps to entice people in & give the opportunity for those that can't afford this much the benefit of a discount if ordering multiples from their "small dishes" section of the menu? Just a suggestion. Generally the service was great, they were very accommodating & reassuring for vegans but when they delivered the food they failed to take away our empty cups or offer anything else to us. Multiple differed staff then proceeded to pass us by without collecting our empty cups or plates.
