“Located about 15 minutes walk from the town centre this is a modern premier Inn with Aircon and plenty of parking (payable) as there is extra parking underneath and behind it. Friendly helpful staff, well run restaurant for breakfast and evening meal if wanted, but also lots of restaurants within walking or short drive distance. Buxton is well located for visitors to the Peak district.”

“Its a Waitrose, don't go there that often. Naughty but nice. Free parking and you can tell its a posh shop because you don't need a £1 deposit for a trolley.”

“Upon collection, the kitchen area was visible and VERY clean, they had super friendly staff and a pleasant eating in area too. We chose a classic margarita, pepperoni and curly fries. The pizzas weren’t greasy which is what usually puts me off fast food pizzas. They were cooked really well and had plenty of toppings.”

“Brilliant location. Right in the centre of Buxton which is a short walk to get too. The hotel is on a hill and may be too steep for those with mobility issues. There is plenty of parking which cost £5 for 24hr. The hotel is very large but very clean. We didn't see dust, marks ect. Check in was friendly and easy. The staff are so warm and welcoming. The lobby is very large and grand and plenty of seating. The building is very old, however the decor and furniture is not. The price of a night stay with half board was excellent. Couldn't fault the hotel. The location is excellent. Just note the hotel is on hill.”

“The Best full English I've ever had! We went in on Saturday morning for something to set us up for the day and were not disappointed. The owner served us and was really friendly. I had a delicious mocha and a full English, my partner had a latte and full English, the food came out very hot and cooked to perfection. I ordered a sandwich and drink to takeaway for my dinner, yet to report on that but I'm sure it'll be as delicious as everything else. I think we've found our regular breakfast place, can't wait to go back!”

“Went back again today and I think it's fair to say we are developing a habit! The atmosphere inside is so nice, and the guys are so friendly, it makes it such a lovely place to visit - and the coffee is so delicious that's worth going for alone. There's a great cake selection. The brownies/tiffin/cookies/cakes are just right, they are rich and taste amazing without being too much and there are loads of gluten free and vegan choices so it's a great place to go with anyone.”

“Absolutely wonderful experience! We happened across this gem by accident and are so glad we did!! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. It's like walking into someone's front room ❤️ The selection of Lego on display to play with is perfectly chosen. Small enough to complete in a short time but complicated enough to keep interest in little people. It's a shame were so far away otherwise I have a feeling my 6 year old would visit daily! “absolute treasure in centre of Buxton! (honestly nearly didn’t pop in but sooooo glad we did) ! Delicious matcha latte and THE BEST GF Vegan cake I have ever eaten: Almond and pistachio torte. Staff are lovely and friendly and (NB we called in to a Pudding Emporium around the corner to enquire if we could have a cuppa - got extremely frosty reception) so happy to have discovered Chakra longe!”

“I had the pleasure of dining at the Olive Tree Restaurant and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. What made the evening even more special was the lovely surprise at the end – a complimentary dessert on the house! It was the perfect sweet touch to round off a perfect meal. I can’t recommend Olive Tree enough – whether it’s a casual meal or a special occasion, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back!”

“We had a group meal here following a hike, very welcoming atmosphere. Roaring fire. Food was served on hot plates and was delicious. Staff were efficient and friendly.”

“Great place for lunch, or home made cake and a drink. Friendly staff and lovely well priced menu. There is a freezer full of delicious home cooked food to take home and heat. Roadside parking is limited outside, but many car parks within a few minute walk. Well worth a visit!”

“We stopped here for a few drinks on a Friday evening. The bar staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a good variety of drinks to choose from. We went for a large sauvignon blanc which came out of a very large decanter, and was delicious. I had a double spiced rum and ginger beer, and it's worth noting the shots are 35ml so 70ml for a double, which I wasn't complaining about! Prices were very fair for the drinks, I think it was around £15 for the 2 drinks. The bar had a great atmosphere for a Friday evening, well worth coming here!”

“Great place for a stop when out on the bikes. The food is improving every week with new ideas. The staff are welcoming and like to take pictures of visitors on their bikes to put on facebook etc. Look forward to my next visit there.”

“I found this place through Google review search. We arrived and was told they could not accommodate 4 of us inside. A very helpful lady sorted us out with a nice table right in the centre of the pub. We ordered and waited for a short time . We were not prepared for the portion size, we had fish, pie and chips, sausage and mash and the half rack of ribs. The ribs I swear came of the biggest pig in the peak District. Every thing was fresh hot and tasteful. It was amazing, I would not drive past this place. It is the real deal. After a day on the peaks this is the place for amazing atmosphere great fresh local tasteful food.”

“Arrived here on a cold & rainy Saturday morning for breakfast, it was warm and welcoming staff were polite and friendly. We were told to sit where we liked which is always a bonus and they were quick to take our order. A Latte and fruit juice arrived very quickly and then Maple syrup Pancakes and bacon twice, was lovely food great portion sizes and more than reasonable price, would definitely recommend!”

“first time visited, arrrived 1:50pm on Wednesday, all desserts are £5 only. the service was good and the food that we ordered were tasty. buffalo chicken wings almost charged £1 per wing. the confit belly pork, steak pie and sea baa were delicious. both crumbles and sticky toffee pudding with custard were values for money (£5 per dessert on wednesday)”

“Absolute 5 star place! Had some early brunch with perfectly poached eggs and fresh tasty sourdough, so yum! Materials and cooking were great. Service also great, responsive and happy to tailor the order. Nice, well- lit seating area next to a big window with views of the square. Fresh flowers on the table are always a bonus too. “We stayed in our camper van overnight here , had a lovely welcome from both hosts Jenny and Lee , bar comfy and friendly , had a fabulous meal in the evening which was hot freshly cooked and huge! Bar staff and waitress very attentive, had gorgeous breakfast following morning , highly recommend this quaint pub and we’ll definitely be returning”
