Really great food, and good value too. Between 4 of us, 9 dishes, a pudding and a drink each came to Β£120 - can't argue with that!

Really good food and good value there! We got the Monday-Thursday deal, Β£42.5 for 5 tapas and a bottle of wine! The basque cheesecake with red wine summer berry sauce was delicious!

Fabulous place, with an interesting and extensive range of tapas. We ordered and enjoyed some meats & cheeses, some croquettes and the fried aubergine. It was all delicious! Service was spot on, friendly and efficient, and they also had Northern Monk Faith, which is a favourite of mine! Only one very minor criticism...some of the tables are a little close together, making it difficult for some diners to get in to & out of their tables. Looking forward to returning very soon!

Almost all Tapas was very delicious and a great selection, would not recommend the calamari as felt undercooked and not very light or crispy. Patatas Bravas was as good as any Iβve had before, same goes for the other dishes we tried. The restaurant is busy, so would recommend making a reservation but has a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly but the service was not very attentive. Overall however, I would recommend anyone visit this restaurant and would absolutely go again.

A friend and I were in the Peak District for a weekend away and were keen to try this for dinner on Saturday evening. We couldn't get through to make a reservation. So just dropped by around 6pm to see if we could get a table. We were seated and told that they need the table back within an hour, which was fine, but doesn't make you feel particularly welcome. The service was quite slow and poor, but I suppose it was a busy Saturday evening and they possibly didn't have enough staff. The food does seem to be on a par to authentic Spanish Tapas and the dishes we chose were quite nice, albeit some on the small portion side. Would have been nice to be able to ask someone with experience about dish choices and pairing wine but we weren't really given that option, from mainly being served by younger, inexperienced staff. We didn't really even try to ask for another drink because it felt quite rushed. If I'm in the area again, I might pop back to have a look in the Deli, but not sure if I'd go to eat at the restaurant again.

Our first time having Spanish tapas and visiting the Santiago restaurant in Buxton. We were not disappointed! The lady who took our table reservation the night before was so helpful and friendly. This restaurant is always busy so booking in advance is highly recommended! The food & service is top notch! It's not "cheap", but the quality of food and flavouring makes it worthwhile. Their portion is just right: (T for one person, R for two person). We had 5 dishes and a dessert to share, with drinks. The two young waitresses and two other women who was looking after customers were very proactive and attentive. Everything ran like clockwork. Compliments to the chefs and kitchen workers too!! I would definitely recommend anyone who is in the Buxton area to give this restaurant a try!

We came across this newly opened βAuthentic Spanish Tapas - Deli / Bar / Restaurantβ by accident having been open only a couple of days at the time, these guyβs were already knocking it out of the park in terms of quality, overall experience and service! We have subsequently returned numerous times over the last 12 months and the food has never disappointed, great menu and seriously good chef! However the service has always been a little fragmented with several front of house staff appearing to be locals, friends of friends, potentially friends children. Why does this matter you ask? The owners are certainly more bothered and attentive to locals and seemingly lots of friends who frequent the establishment regularly, parents / relatives/ friends of the staff get maximum attention whilst visitors become invisible! Extreme viewpoint / perception you may think but never the less this is how we have felt now on the last two visits. Friday and Saturday nights are manic and service can be as i have described, however we love the building and what the owners have done with it, the atmosphere overall and the undisputed high quality food and beverages on offer. I would recommend trying a weekday lunchtime or extended lunch for the best experience! Santiago owners please consider my viewpoint as my experience from the 1st visit when you opened to the latest in (Oct 2022) has become more and more disappointing in terms of service. I have taken my rating from 5 star down to 3 purely on service which is a real shame!

Great authentic tapas. The nougat-style ice cream desert with acorn liqueur is to die for! Estrella Galicia on tap is a rare treat in the UK. Service staff were a bit overwhelmed at times, we had one or two long waits for their attention later when it got busy.
