“I had the pleasure of dining at the Olive Tree Restaurant and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. What made the evening even more special was the lovely surprise at the end – a complimentary dessert on the house! It was the perfect sweet touch to round off a perfect meal. I can’t recommend Olive Tree enough – whether it’s a casual meal or a special occasion, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back!”

“Located about 15 minutes walk from the town centre this is a modern premier Inn with Aircon and plenty of parking (payable) as there is extra parking underneath and behind it. Friendly helpful staff, well run restaurant for breakfast and evening meal if wanted, but also lots of restaurants within walking or short drive distance. Buxton is well located for visitors to the Peak district.”

“A truly wonderful stay. Staff were polite and very attentive. The spa facilities were clean and tidy. The thermal heated pools were lovely. Definitely worth a visit. Hand written birthday card and macaroon for my wife was a wonderful touch.”

“Upon collection, the kitchen area was visible and VERY clean, they had super friendly staff and a pleasant eating in area too. We chose a classic margarita, pepperoni and curly fries. The pizzas weren’t greasy which is what usually puts me off fast food pizzas. They were cooked really well and had plenty of toppings.”

“Brilliant location. Right in the centre of Buxton which is a short walk to get too. The hotel is on a hill and may be too steep for those with mobility issues. There is plenty of parking which cost £5 for 24hr. The hotel is very large but very clean. We didn't see dust, marks ect. Check in was friendly and easy. The staff are so warm and welcoming. The lobby is very large and grand and plenty of seating. The building is very old, however the decor and furniture is not. The price of a night stay with half board was excellent. Couldn't fault the hotel. The location is excellent. Just note the hotel is on hill.”

“The Best full English I've ever had! We went in on Saturday morning for something to set us up for the day and were not disappointed. The owner served us and was really friendly. I had a delicious mocha and a full English, my partner had a latte and full English, the food came out very hot and cooked to perfection. I ordered a sandwich and drink to takeaway for my dinner, yet to report on that but I'm sure it'll be as delicious as everything else. I think we've found our regular breakfast place, can't wait to go back!”

“Great place for lunch, or home made cake and a drink. Friendly staff and lovely well priced menu. There is a freezer full of delicious home cooked food to take home and heat. Roadside parking is limited outside, but many car parks within a few minute walk. Well worth a visit!”

“We stopped here for a few drinks on a Friday evening. The bar staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a good variety of drinks to choose from. We went for a large sauvignon blanc which came out of a very large decanter, and was delicious. I had a double spiced rum and ginger beer, and it's worth noting the shots are 35ml so 70ml for a double, which I wasn't complaining about! Prices were very fair for the drinks, I think it was around £15 for the 2 drinks. The bar had a great atmosphere for a Friday evening, well worth coming here!”

“Arrived here on a cold & rainy Saturday morning for breakfast, it was warm and welcoming staff were polite and friendly. We were told to sit where we liked which is always a bonus and they were quick to take our order. A Latte and fruit juice arrived very quickly and then Maple syrup Pancakes and bacon twice, was lovely food great portion sizes and more than reasonable price, would definitely recommend!”

“first time visited, arrrived 1:50pm on Wednesday, all desserts are £5 only. the service was good and the food that we ordered were tasty. buffalo chicken wings almost charged £1 per wing. the confit belly pork, steak pie and sea baa were delicious. both crumbles and sticky toffee pudding with custard were values for money (£5 per dessert on wednesday)”

Service also great, responsive and happy to tailor the order. Nice, well- lit seating area next to a big window with views of the square. Fresh flowers on the table are always a bonus too. “Fabulous little micropub just off the main road in Buxton. Good selection of ciders and beers that are well kept by the efficient and friendly staff. Brilliant atmosphere, cosy and friendly. Very dog friendly. If you like beer & dogs, you need to try this place ! Sadly I'm allergic to dogs so can never stay for more than about half an hour before I need some fresh air. Always pop in though when in Buxton !!”

“Clan was out and about in this area and stopped here for food. Vegetarian and vegan options were amazing so the orders began. The service was wonderful. We were seen to our table and the one child with us was given a kids menu that they could draw and colour in to keep them entertained. It was pretty busy so I expected some delays in the food yet it arrived quickly. The food was amazing. In fact it was so good I ordered more and that arrived just as promptly. The lady servicing us was so helpful and would advise on food and drinks. Desserts were lovely too and everyone left with full bellies as there was something for everyone and all due credit to the kitchen team, it came out pretty fast and was delicious.
