A beautiful hotel with a gorgeous spa/thermal rooms. We stayed for 2 nights and spent most of our second day enjoying the gym and spa facilities. We do, however, consider that the management of the restaurant could be improved. During breakfast we had to ask for, and wait quite a long time for condiments. Used crockery and glasses were not routinely removed from our table. Restaurant staff need to be better trained in customer service to justify the 5* rating.

A truly wonderful stay. Staff were polite and very attentive. The spa facilities were clean and tidy. The thermal heated pools were lovely. Definitely worth a visit. Hand written birthday card and macaroon for my wife was a wonderful touch.

On arrival, warmly welcomed and was checked in early. Chose the valet parking which was great, car brought round early next day but no pressure to depart until I was ready. Room was luxurious and spacious and a lovely gesture for my mum who's birthday we were celebrating. Spa visit was great, used rooftop pool and thermal areas with ease. Evening meal in main restaurant was lovely and the serving staff were very attentive and professional. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, lots of food choices, even for special diets from pastries, cheese, cereal, fruit and then a choice of full breakfast or speciality eggs. We finished our stay with an afternoon tea and this was absolutely beautifully presented and didn't disappoint. Can't wait to visit again

The hotel and spa facilities were absolutely stunning. Our room (408)was beautiful , it was like our own apartment. And the spa was very well maintained and very clean. And all the staff were more than helpful. A glass of fizz on arrival was a nice touch. The only thing we think let the experience down was the breakfast. Which was such a shame as we were so looking forward to it. In our opinion it wasn’t worth £25 each. My husband had the full English breakfast, he said the bacon and sausages were delicious, but the black pudding didn’t taste of anything. I had the eggs Benedict, the poached eggs were spot on, the ham was cold, as was the muffin, which didn’t seem to be toasted to me. Overall though it’s a beautiful hotel to stay at, and the spa facilities were fabulous! I would recommend it to our family and friends. We would definitely stay again, just maybe order a different breakfast? I hope you take this as positive feedback, as I think feedback of any kind is helpful.

My stay at Ensana Buxton Crescent was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and ideally located, within walking distance of many tourist attractions in the city. The room service is excellent and it was always clean and tidy. The food at the hotel was also very good and I had the opportunity to try some delicious local dishes. In addition, the hotel staff is very friendly and was always willing to help me with any needs I had. I would definitely recommend Ensana Buxton Crescent to anyone looking for a high quality hotel in Buxton - it was a wonderful stay and I hope to return one day! Special greetings to Francesca Graham, she is a sweetheart and very kind.

Spa was amazing with lots of different pools and treatment rooms plus a collection of saunas and steam rooms. Outdoor/indoor pool was my favourite, lovely warm water even on a cold evening. We were in attic rooms which were nicely decorated though the roof in the eaves was a bit low. Shower was great, very powerful and hot. Valet parking which was nice touch.

Buxton is wonderful and the hotel is stunning. We stayed in a suite, which was lovely. There were just a few things that weren't right with the service. When we checked in, we weren't told where anything was: where breakfast was, the bar or even the spa. We didn't know if there was room service or have any other info than our room number. They kept confusing how long we were staying for (we hadn't changed anything from the original booking) and as such, when I rang down on the last day for my car, I was told it was waiting outside for me. It wasn't. It felt like the staff were a little under trained and inexperienced. The other surprising thing was that everything was fully booked at the spa - even though the spa was empty. Perhaps understaffing is the issue? We didn't mind as we didn't book in advance. But I only saw one person go in the mud baths even though they were fully booked for our entire four day stay. All in all, we would return, but it would be nice to feel a bit more like a guest rather than someone renting a room.

Comfortable stately hotel. Clean beautiful spa. Affordable room with breakfast. I enjoyed my 4 night stay here. The bed and pillows were superb. The only room for improvement was with the restaurant. Though the wait staff worked diligently, either they were short staffed or the place was without a well-established protocol. Breakfast had a few bumps and the evening I arrived exhausted and called room service, I was told there was no room service that evening. But ultimately, I recommend the Ensana Buxton, enjoyed my stay and will return.
