I had a wonderful cut and blow dry from Keira today. She added beautiful layers and shape to my hair, sorted out my unmanageable bangs and even took the time to curl my hair so it looked great for my night out. Highly recommended!

I've been coming to Hairsmiths for about 6 years now and I love it. Jess is the best hair dresser I have ever had, she's so talented. I trust Jess completely with my hair and she's always smashed it out the park. Thank you to the whole team for making the experience so enjoyable.

Have been going to Hairsmiths for years and love it there. Zoe is always kind and funny (has been known to buy me a brownie on a hard day). Robyn colours my hair and I trust her implicitly, she is fantastic, love her. Deb cuts my hair and I wouldn’t have anyone else as she is skilled, uplifting and truly cares. The new salon in St Giles has such a calm vibe, a place where I can go when needing calm and also when giddy with life. Hairsmiths is Fabulous and I would (and do) highly recommend it as a salon with a wonderful team!!❤️❤️

I got my hair coloured by Jonnie Martin at Hairsmiths yesterday. It’s a lovely, clean and friendly salon located in a beautiful historic building. Jonnie literally saved my hair, he’s fantastic with his knowledge and experience. I absolutely love my hair! I do highly recommend him! I will be going back.

Jonnie has been doing my hair for many years. He always gives me an honest opinion when I tell him what I would like. Fully explaining what would work best to give me the desired results. I’ve always been very happy with the results.

Had a 9am appointment booked today which they literally cancelled at 835 am by voicemail at which point I was stood outside the salon, apparently no-one else would be able to do my hair. Like most people I don’t live in the city centre - it takes me an hour to get there - and whilst I understand sometimes staff go sick - they should have found some way to honour the first appointment of the day who was likely to be already on their way at 0835! The message asked me to call them back - I did and no-one bothered to pick up the phone. - I won’t be coming back.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I feel like I have to for this salon. Unfortunately I have had an extremely negative experience with hairsmiths. I was excited to go from my natural colour of brown to copper. My hair was bleached and then dyed copper, and although it was a bit brighter than I’d have hoped I was happy with the initial result. However, after washing my hair the next morning (with Luke warm water and high quality products after NOT being told that I shouldn’t wash it for 48 hours) I ended up with bright red roots and bright blonde ends. Naturally I panicked as I had plans that evening, and I had absolutely no other option but to box dye my hair as my confidence was at rock bottom with how my hair looked. I spoke to Zoe Moore, the stylist, and felt little sympathy from her. I was offered a retone but not for 5 days, and I could not have left the house in the state it was in without box dying it first. As I box dyed it to rectify the mistakes made by the salon (not telling me to not wash it, leading to intense fade) they refused to take any responsibility as it was “no longer their work”. It cost me a total of £185 for my cut and dye, only for me to wake up in tears with no sympathy shown by the salon. No aftercare was offered although the salon owner, Deb, seems to think otherwise, all I was recommended was to use a copper mask once a week, and so even if I bought the mask there and then this would not have changed the outcome. I’ve had to spend £60 correcting my hair at a different salon, and have now spent almost £300 on getting to where I am now with my hair. To make matters worse, they’ve refused to offer me any partial refund as they deem it to be my fault! I have never EVER been so shocked, upset, and disappointed with how a salon has treated me. I’ve been left out of pocket, with the salon refusing even a partial refund after the experience I have had which you’d think is the least they could do. Please please if you are thinking of using this salon, don’t. Save your money, I urge you to go elsewhere, don’t end up with hair like mine! What a nightmare of a week.

Incompetent and unprofessional. Booked in for a full head root of foils due to my usual hairdresser being unavailable. Basically if you want a confident and experienced safe pair of hands for colouring this is not the place to go. Had a slightly uncomfortable consultation with a hairdresser and settled on a full head of foils to lift my dark roots. On the day she decided she didn’t want to do the big job of foils and pushed for a simple all over root colour . If that is her professional recommendation that is fine , and I agreed. After the hairdresser requested several second opinions on shop floor - with one bordering on rude she then decided she didn’t want to do it at all and time was getting on . I left with my hair untouched. In 15 years of using so many Norwich salons I’ve never experienced anything like this and I left feeling really weird and upset . These aren’t experts in the field - probably fine for a quick wash and cut . Leave the more technical colour jobs to the professionals.
