amazing service and treatments! I got colour and a cut - they were so efficient and offered drinks throughout. lovely team who are very down to earth! this will absolutely be my regular hair salon from now on :)
I cannot remember the ladies names but I attended 9am today for a cut and colour - they transformed me !! A tired 65 year old made to feel 25. !! Lovely environment, cheerful staff, very clean and tidy. One of the best salons I have been to - and I have been to a few in my years !!! Thank you
Alex is a fantastic hairdresser. She makes my hair look amazing and best of all, easy for me to maintain. And she’s always happy! Worth the round trip to Norwich from Suffolk
This was a big treat for me (both in time and money) and Alex made it totally worth it. She was welcoming, friendly, listened to what I wanted and helped shape it into a haircut that would well for me day to day. I’m really pleased with the outcome and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I would leave a 0 star review if I could. On Wednesday last week, I had an appointment at the Norwich salon at 3pm. I was booked in for a full head of highlights, a cut, treatment and style. When I arrived, I clearly explained to Mabel the technician what I wanted. No money piece, blended highlights throughout my hair, a small trim as I recently had my hair cut. Mabel insisted she could get what I wanted through balayage (I had a suspicion this was her preferred style as I have quite long hair and highlights would take much longer). I explained again the outcome I was looking for and Mabel explicitly advised she understands and to trust her. Mabel began doing the back of my hair, then moved to the front. While doing the front, I stated again, I do not want a visible money piece, I would like it to blend throughout my hair.... this was ignored and Mabel done what she wanted on my hair. Resulting in an uneven, categorically awful variation of colours going through my hair with a huge blocky money piece which is the blondest, brightest, cheapest looking hair I've ever seen. Now moving on to the cut, I was handed over to Joe who truthfully doesn't have a very warm tone anyway, I explained to Joe, I wear my hair up all the time, I do not want bangs or a fringe (as he kept pushing this) but I would like a light feathering around my face and half an inch cut from the bottom. I explained I have very curly thick hair so anything short at the front would not work, and stated AGAIN I wear my hair up a majority of the time, I do not have time to style it so the cut needs to be soft and nothing much different to what it is now. When Joe then cut the front, I could hear and feel he had made a mistake and taken a lot of length off, I politely said again, I do not want bangs, I do not want a fringe or much to which Joe replied in an aggressive, loud tone "what do you want me to do about it? What did you expect me to do?" The whole salon went quiet, it was mortifying. I explained myself, I can't have short fronts, due to having my hair up a lot, he did not care. He then continued to aggressively dry my hair, scratching my neck, pulling my hair and blowing all the hair into my face. Prior to this, he asked how I wanted it styled, I asked for a bouncy blow but instead I got an angry, aggressive rough dry then curls put in while yanking at my hair so much my head was getting pulled back with every strand. Joe repeatedly (again extremely aggressively) kept asking if the colour and cut was ok, I explained it's not what I asked for, and he stated "what do you want me to do about it?". By this point I felt intimidated and just wanted to get out of there. It was an awful experience and my hair now is left in a complete mess. I do not feel comfortable going back to the salon due to the aggressive nature of the stylist Joe. I do not expect to be treated like that anywhere, let alone paying £220 for the privilege. I requested a full refund, but even after going back and fourth with the care team, explaining Joes aggression left me shaking in tears, they only want to offer a fix at the salon. I will not be doing this.
Was able to get a last minute appointment with Alex for a blow dry - and she did a fantastic job! Will definitely go back in future
Needed a haircut for work and decided to give this place a try and I was truly impressed. I ended up cutting my hair twice on the same day (I didn't cut it short enough the first time). Initially Sam cut my hair and he was not only a pleasure to socialise with but he also done an outstanding job with very little input from myself (I am clueless with styles). Later in the day I saw Maria who was equally fantastic and great to speak with. They were both very consultative in what they thought best for my hair and they gave plenty of advice on styling. They also continued to make sure I felt comfortable and they made it very clear that they had plenty of drinks to choose from if I wanted one. All in all a great experience, recommend for anyone (gents or ladies).
Had a great experience from when I arrived to leaving. Carys was lovely and was very prfessional yet friendly. She advised me on what she thought would look best. I recommend her and the Salon. I will be back at some point as I am not living in Norfolk at the moment.
NEVER GO TO THIS SALON !!!!Poor quality of work by PAUL. I would have given a zero star if there was an option. I did a hair keratin smoothing treatment worth 250 pounds at Tony & Guy Norwich with Paul. After the first hair wash, 5 days later, the hair went back to being frizzy. We went to Paul and expressed our dissatisfaction at the quality of his work and asked if he could redo it. He was very rude and flatly refused, he said the quality of the product I used for hair wash might not be up to standard. When I told him it was the Moroccan Oil brand, he came up with the next excuse saying he expects the results only to be 80% better from before the treatment. When I showed him that it was just like original and there was no change after the most costliest treatment in Tony & Guy, he just kept repeating the above. The guy is poor in the work he does and even poorer in his listening skill. Then he said we should use extra products and do hair blowing and stuffs to get the frizz out of the hair. As if the 250 pounds spend on the treatment doesn’t make any difference at all. We also pointed out that we had done this previously at Tony & Guy in Bangalore and knows how the result would be after the 1st wash, 10th washes etc. He just kept saying that the product he uses is different from India and results will be different. Does he mean that Tony & Guy use substandard product in Norwich and causes the results to differ in such a massive manner. People like Paul just keep spoiling the brand of T&G which I had so much trust in previously. Later, I started going through the google reviews of T&G Norwich and found out that this is not the first time Paul has done such a substandard work. I read about a girl whose hair he bleached to white and cut the hair of a girl who had come for hair colouring. Tony & Guy, please do something to train people like Paul so that your brand image doesn’t get spoiled.
