Booked appointment online and when I arrived they had no reference of this so it was a wasted trip. Second attempt I booked an appointment by phone instead, showed up on the day and they're closed. Absolutely useless, no respect for customers time

Friendly staff, good parking, not too expensive and does a nice job,! Now fully Covid protected! Just had my haircut by Gavin and by appointment only, but felt totally safe inside shop. Really clean with all precautions taken!!

Great barbers, very skilled at their trades - both of them. Shop is very small and is always busy so that tells you how good they are, it's got a nice traditional feel to it and the big retro chairs are really cool and comfy. The wall of photos is a nice touch and Gavin's usually got the footie on which is great! They're both great to have a chat with and there's always a nice atmosphere where everyone's having a good laugh. Great for kids cuts and they are both great with understanding how awkward kids can be when getting their hair cut when they're young. However... Beware if you are taking kids here.. There are red top newspapers and magazines with nude/scantily clad/bikini pics inside and on the front - or depending on how trashy it is - sometimes there's even women in VERY "compromising" poses that are very hard to explain to kids - and we shouldn't have to expose kids to that in this day and age! These shouldn't be in a place where people bring young kids. Shops and petrol stations have started covering them and hiding them to help protect young eyes and that's a great step forward. Why is there stuff like that in a place that kids go to anyway? There should be a little more respect for the fact that young children - of both sexes - don't need to be seeing that sort of stuff until they are older and we as parents don't want our kids exposed to that, especially given how brazen newspapers and magazines have got these days. I've seen magazines with rude photos on the front in the box of children's books before too - that's really bad. Both of you have kids and you should understand why this isn't great in this day and age where we need to make sure that our kids grow up with healthy body images and healthy views of the other sexes. One look at the current teenage generation tells you that the move towards preventing this being exposed to our kids is a great step forward. I've never understood the need to put these sorts of newspapers and magazines in barbers anyway - we don't go to the barbers to look at red top papers full of women/men and celeb gossip. Having the TV on is enough to keep you entertained while you wait and adults always have phones now anyway so the whole newspaper thing seems a little outdated, and a touchy subject with kids about. If you really want newspapers sitting on your chairs, can I suggest getting some reputable ones that aren't full of that stuff. The Times, The Telegraph and The Guardian are kid friendly and full of real news. A small niggle, nothing compared to the papers though is that sometimes you end up waiting forever even though you've booked an appointment, it always annoys me a bit. If I book an appointment I expect to be seen in a reasonable time, and not have to wait 45 minutes to an hour to even get started. There's been times where I've been in the barbers for 2 hours which when you have limited time at the weekend is very frustrating. It's horrible when you come in to see a man sitting in the chair who has clearly only just sat down and his haircut has only just begun - that's a bit ridiculous. I can understand if it's just finishing up someone as your appointment time comes up - nothing runs to schedule perfectly and that's one thing, but starting someone when you know you have an appointment coming up any minute now is very frustrating for us as clients. The newspapers are what bothers me the most, I think that in this day and age we have to be very careful what we expose our kids to, and in a place that young kids go to, they should be able to wander around and rummage through the magazines and books without stumbling across that sort of material. You would never find this sort of stuff in a kids only place. I have a lot of respect for you as barbers, but this really is an issue that needs to be talked about more, and most parents agree and I've seen them pulling their kids away from them in your shop so many times and it always makes me wonder why you haven't noticed this too. I really hope you will reconsider what material is in the shop for kids to see.

Rang gavin to see what time they shut on Friday. I mentioned to him that my daughter who is gender fluid wanted a hair cut he told us to come down which we did as in Friday they shut at 6. We got there at 5:15. The lady who also work there looked at the clock when we turned up. No one asked us anything while we sat and waited, 5 people in front of us. When we finally sat down and explained what we wanted said to us the is a hairdresser next door which do girls hair, explained to her it's a boys haircut style which was wanted she was rude and snotty, saying "I will do it this one time but not ever again. " She cut the hair cut no where near the style as was shown my gender fluid daughter. She was upset and embarrassed and emotional, When we left need she doesn't need to be judged by any one let alone a rude obnoxious woman. Who works there.
