   The thing about Barkers shoes is that whilst they state that shoes are "made in England" in reality most of the footwear is manufactured in India, with perhaps some of the final finishing done in Northampton. Workmanship is just as good, but not quite the finish of some of the other Northampton manufacturers. See my reviews of some if the other famous manufacturers here. The shop offers a lot of choice especially mens, but also women's. Mostly leather uppers with goodyear welt construction and leather soles. Neatly organised by foot measurements from size 6 - 12, with a few sizes like 9,10,11 also in half sizes. Prices are in the £100+ range and quite a few "seconds" discounted by 20-30%, which is competitive when compared to full price items. Old fashiond showroom, and polite attentive staff.

   Barker Factory shop is an amazing place. Lots of shoes, mostly seconds at great prices. There are a lot more mens shoes than womens. The staff are around but a little bit disinterested. Worth a visit if you are looking for good quality leather shoes. #shoes #leathershoes

   I've worn Barkers shoes for years, love them. The shop has a great rangee at a good discounted price for a top quality product, don't expect cheap and cheerful expect top quality at a goid price. Staff were unbelievablebly helpful

   So so so helpful! Nothing was too big a problem. We went in to look for shoes for my fiancé's wedding attire. They found multiple pairs of shoes for him to try on. We visited several times in the last few weeks and each time they were so attentive and helpful!
