I attended a wedding at this venue here. I felt that it was very contemporary with a rustic feel. The managers and staff also kept the wedding event very well organized. From the service, bar, to the entertainment the staff they actually exceeded my expectations. The overnight accommodations in the cabins were also really nice as well very clean and also modern. The food and drink presentation also on point. I would definitely recommend this wedding venue. The only thing I wanted to mention it just seemed far and the reception for cellphone service was poor but they do have wifi internet. I was an out of country guest from North America and I would say it would be best to stay overnight as there is not much around and the roads seem quite narrow and no lights along the routes at night.

An incredible location with great facilities. I can see why this place is used for weddings. The sunset I saw there really took my breath away.

Such a beautiful place for a wedding, food was fab, staff were so lovely. We stayed in the accommodation provided and can't fault it. It was very clean and comfortable, little pricey, but they can do that as you're in the middle of virtually no where.

After our original reception venue burnt down, Oldwalls had a space and quickly liaised with us for planning. The service was top notch and Oldwalls went the extra mile to accommodate our requests. As a venue, the grounds are lovely for photo opportunities and the marquee, dance floor and bar area are top notch.. Thank you Oldwalls for having us and making our special day that extra special.

As a guest at a wedding! Really top notch for a wedding venue its brilliant just thinking for that kind of money 30k some small areas for improvement. As a wedding venue its just beautiful, a well delivered beautiful ceremony, fantastic food, really friendly and professional staff. Helpful reception, easy parking. Plenty for photos views we had lovley weather was a nice sunset, big viking chair, nice outdoor area it had a love swing and a wood bandstand type structure where the couple watched the fireworks and some of us were out others did not brace the wind and watched from the glass conservatory/dinning area. Spacious dance floor, cool lights, smoke it was a good jam and the bar was well stocked they also had cigars. Breakfast was great we did stay one night after the wedding. The whole wedding day was a Saturday around 12hrs 12pm to 1am situation and after breakfast me and my wife checked out was an bkur drive home to the valleys. About 80 of us attending day and few more joined the night. Overall it was a lovely wedding. The rooms are lovely closely situated to the rest of the venue, clean we had lovely big glass back facing out over the river and fields. TV, kettle with hot drinks, bottled water and a nice wardrobe, bed was really comfy I slept great was plenty of room in general for me and my wife Only a few things like we arrived 11am we couldn't check in rooms they aren't ready until 2pm so plan ahead some us changed in the car park really not an issue for me. Others were already dressed! Think some of the girls managed to get into the one or two of the rooms that were ready for makeup etc. So wasn't that much of an issue. Alot of the tiny windows in the bathrooms needed maintenance the blinds were messed up and the handles didn't work, our handle actually came off completely in my hand! Some rooms were boiling others freezing dont know ours was warm but since our bathroom window didn't shut it worked out fine cooled the room down enough through the night we slept great. But the shower for us took about 15mins to figure out especially a little drunk and end of the night the knob just kept turning getting hot water out of it was tricky we think its was broken that's the only thing we were anoyoyed with my wife had a warm shower and she must of fiddled with it mine was bloody freezing :( that and the coffee at dinner and breakfast was like dish water :( :( I never ordered one from the bar mind so duno im sure no one else noticed but I did. Breakfast was lovely I had everything apart from the bacon sausage blackpudding nor anything cold like cereal nice selection though. Few people complaining about the night! dogs in rooms barking and lots of squeaking and rustling? and the bride said a scratching outside her room all night as it was very windy!! but not for us luckily was a peaceful room :) Now I hear the wedding planing side actually did not go smoothly apparently there were lots of issues so I dont know I was a guest well grooms family but he was stressed no help from the venue or planner I dont know! With covid bound to be issues and things can go wrong but... They lost the wine list last minute, palnner made seating plan isues! apparently they were just not on the ball and not very professional! Especially since they payed for the planner but nothing was going to plan. A rescheduled wedding ment they saved a load of money from a change of date or time or something but the family were not informed now thats a big one! Seriously what the hell do I know!! Im sure you will have a great time if you have yours there anyways. End of the day I dont know about the places reputation in general this was just my take from a day and half never been before it was a lovely wedding.

Attended an absolutely super wedding at Oldwalls, venue is lovely, some perfect photo opportunities on the grounds by the lake, vegetarian food was the best I have had for a long time. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. Staff were polite, helpful and helped make the day so enjoyable. Our glamping pod was great, cosy, and comfortable with underfloor heating, (don't leave anything you don't want to melt on the floor!) compact bathroom, sumptuous bed! Just could have done with a curtain at the back round window, to help with the morning light. Good coffee and tea and toiletries in the room and a microwave too. Great!! X
