   Montys was a dream of a home to stay in. When I first walked through the door I was instantly struck by the attention of detail to the house. The diffuser in the corridor was welcoming and soothing, the bookshelves and furniture encountered on the way up to the loft so thoughtful and fascinating. And the room! Beautifully designed, stylish and warm, and all the amenities were intentional for comfort and relaxation. The roll top bath tucked away by the window was a little oasis, and the bed is so comfy, just heavenly. It was also a room for inspiration, I loved the easel for a TV stand and all the books on artists. I could go on but wow! Though it was only one night’s stay, it was a truly memorable experience.    As mature global travellers..this property was a gem in every way..thank you Vicky & Paul! Our stunning attic conversion de-luxe room provided luxurious space, every classy comfort and kitchenette convenience necessary. An added bonus was complimentary cereal/yog/berries, beer, G&T..perfect for a relaxing few days. Our friends stayed in the basement flat and felt the same. We would recommend highly!

   This is one of the most beautiful rooms in which I have ever stayed. It’s stunning. It’s stylish, ever so. Although the interior design feels effortless, there has been some considerable thought and a very keen eye at work here. Beautiful books adorn the shelves. The shower room is stunning and the claw foot bath is certainly quirky luxury. I love how the TV sits on an artist’s easel. The kitchenette is a lovely addition too…treats left in the fridge, excellent coffee machine and range of quality glasses for use. Gorgeous comfy chair and chaise in the room. The bed is so comfortable with quality bedding and welcoming pillows. The whole house is stunning and being in the High Street, the location is perfect for days exploring beautiful Lewes. Vicky is an outstanding host. Her welcome was wonderfully warm. We loved her immediately. Just so happy right now. This place gives and gives and gives. Thank you! Thank you so much!

   Cannot rate this place highly enough - Vicky was very welcoming on our arrival, the room was perfect with all amenities you could possibly require although I'm sure if it was missing something I got the sense that nothing would have been too much trouble. We'll definitely find a reason to return!

   Communication before we arrived and info given was a lovely touch. The house was very central but was very quiet once the door was closed. The room was amazing and the complimentary touches were appreciated. Would definitely recommend this b&b was spot on.

   Stylish, quiet and extremely well-appointed - and that's the basement room: apparently the others are even nicer! I simply did not want to leave. Small tip: parking on the High St. gets busy after 5, when it is free. But if you can find a space, you are able to buy a Pay & Display ticket for two hours of the following morning (taking your parking to 11am). So, you don't have to rush out and buy a ticket / move your car in the morning. Well worth the 50p/30min if it means more time lazing in the luxury of Monty's.

   You will simply not find a better bed & breakfast option in (or indeed anywhere near) Lewes. Vicky & Paul have created a 5-star experience in one of the most stylish places you'll ever stay in. Four-poster bed, roll-top Victorian bath, Sky TV, luxury complimentary toiletries, fantastic central location - Monty's has it all. Stay there once and you'll want to treat yourself again and again!
