   Nice quiet B&B run by friendly hosts Dave and Val. Perfect place to stay for our visit to the opera at Glyndebourne. We had the "Beacon View" room: a small two rooms apartment with everything we needed. Our friends had the "Loft" apartment above us. We had brought our own breakfast necessaries, and the weather was good enough to let us enjoy it on the very private patio overlooking the Sussex countryside. A gem!

   Very nice room. Breakfast was additional cost, no worries as I don't like breakfast but they were generous with the coffee. Lovely couple and lovely area! Berwick Church was awesome and we had a wonderful pub meal down the road at the Cricketer's Arms. Only served breakfast at the B&B.

   Really lovely place, very clean, lovely friendly & accommodating service. Dog was not phased being away from home & had plenty of room to run around. WiFi excellent. Flexible on having to change booking arrangements at the last minute. Only slight negative, if you stay in Hikers Rest 2, make sure the gate beside it is either latched properly, or securely propped open, otherwise the wind will bang it constantly, waking you up at 3am!

   This b&b is run by a very friendly and welcoming couple. It's a near perfect location for the Lewes bonfire parades and I highly recommend the breakfast. Great choice and good quality - very tasty. The only negatives we had were that the room is very small so wouldn't want to stay more than 1 night, it has no mirror in the bedroom so difficult to use a hairdryer while seeing what you're doing and the shower head is tiny so the showers are a bit meh.

   Great place to stay for south downs walkers! In Jan 2022 we stayed in the Beacon View with a lounge, kitchen, bedroom and large bathroom. Super efficient check in, really great cooking facilities and a comfy sofa to spend the eve. Lots of books and a few board games and DVDs in the lounge. The bathroom was really nice. Great water pressure, and a bath. Perfect after a long day on the hills. Bed was comfy, and waking up to the view over the hills and the horses wandering around in the field just in front of us was really nice. Hosts are so friendly and accommodating. When I had a clothing malfunction in the morning, Val gifted us a sewing kit. Would definitely stay here again!
