“We would like to thank Mansell McTaggart for the support they have given us thus far. Our buying and selling journey is far from over but we are very happy with the professional approach shown by the Lewes team, their speedy responses to issues and excellent, regular email and ‘phone communication. We have had most contact with Will, who has always been helpful, responsive and understanding as we’ve navigated difficulties in our sale and purchase.”
“As mature global travellers..this property was a gem in every way..thank you Vicky & Paul! Our stunning attic conversion de-luxe room provided luxurious space, every classy comfort and kitchenette convenience necessary. An added bonus was complimentary cereal/yog/berries, beer, G&T..perfect for a relaxing few days. Our friends stayed in the basement flat and felt the same. We would recommend highly!”
“Lovely pet hotel for cats and smaller animals. Professionally run, jab certificate required, great, many very chilled and beautiful cats in the main cattery. Clean, not smelly, nice outdoor part for them to wander into, very secure. We left our beloved family cat with confidence. Miss him though. ❤️”
“Can't speak highly enough about Kieran who showed us around a property. He had answers to all our questions and provided information we hadn't thought to ask - a level of professionalism that has been lacking in many other agents. The current market seems to be so fluid that agents either don't have the time, or see no value, in knowing the ins and outs of a place. As first time buyers this process is both new, exciting, and a bit terrifying! Kieran removed those barriers and allowed us to think clearly.”
“Very good location, The food was good. The receptionist (Ali Behrouz) was very helpful when we had a problem in the basin bathroom, he act really quickly to fix it, with apologize, I am sure every manger will like to employee such a good guy like Mr. Behrouz. we will defiantly coming back. Mr. and Mrs Shiltagh”
“We had our sons first birthday at the kings head on a busy Saturday 1pm for 20 people and a few kids, they were so accommodating and went out their way to make the party perfect. All staff were super helpful and welcoming and Ollie was great. Really recommend this cosy pub for a party or just for drinks.”
“Lovely historic home run as an amazing B & B , tasty breakfast from fresh fruit and yogurt to full English breakfast, most definitely worth a stay !!!”
“Stayed just one night and left wishing it had been longer! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the room I was given was just so lovely. It is the little things like classic FM on the radio and a few delicious sweet treats that immediately transport you into relaxation mode when you stay here. Everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. Also, I cannot remember having a better breakfast, it was 10/10!”
“Steve was absolutely brilliant. Best property manager we’ve ever had, he was always on hand to help us with problems we were having with our property and made us feel really well looked after. Can’t recommend him enough!”
“What a wonderful stay! Stayed here after going to Glyndebourne. Comfortable room and really quirky decor which gives it a rustic feel. Delicious breakfast and really warm and friendly welcome. Would definitely stay again!!”
“Stayed in the Willow pod, really clean, well designed. Suprising a good amount of a space for a pod. Toilets and shower was extremely clean! Tim the owner was really lovely also and stopped to talk to us before we left which was very nice. The location is beautiful, so peaceful. The perfect get away space for relaxing I will deffo come back in the future I would highly visit staying here either in the pods or if you camp, staying here. Lots to do in the nearby time and it was a great touch having leaflets inside. Thank you for a great stay! Joe and Melissa”
“We have returned recently from 'one week' stay at 'The Old Flower Field Lodges', where we had the MOST AMAZING time. Our stay was made so much more enjoyable b/c of our hosts 'Shaun' and 'Sue' who run the business. The lodges were extremely comfortable, all the home comforts you need to make your stay more enjoyable / relaxing. Additionally, laundry and 'disabled / wheelchair' friendly (seated) shower facility is available for guests. Regretfully, we returned home on Saturday. Anyone looking for great location to stay, near to south-coast, home comforts and excellent hosts, we recommend you look at booking time at The Old Flower Field Lodges'.”
“I have stayed here once a year for the last 3 years. It’s so peaceful and lodges are excellent quality and have everything you need inside them. Modern, comfortable, dog friendly, hot tub cleaned daily. Reception is extremely helpful. The owners are really accommodating and can’t do enough for you and your stay! Lovely walks and pubs to visit in walking distance. We always look forward to coming back year after year!”
“Maslens have been highly efficient and communicative when letting out my two flats. They look after both the landlords and tenants well ensuring any issues are dealt with promptly including over bank holidays when my tenant needed the boiler fixed. There were quite a few teething issues with both flats and they were really helpful in making sure it was all sorted out. I would definitely recommend using a good letting agent such as Maslens as opposed to trying to self manage unless you are highly experienced in that area.”
“Have passed by here for years and not found time to stop. Made time today and had an amazing birthday meal. Curry goat was amazing, my wife's pork chop was enormous, tender and beautifully cooked. My son's steak gorgeous and apparently the cheeseburger was the best my daughter has ever had. Fantastic staff too, so friendly and happy to answer any queries. Great local beers too. Great to see a small local place so busy”
“I would like to say a special thank you to Liam Meredith at the Brighton branch. Thank you for helping me last year when I was going through a really difficult time. I needed to find a place to live quite quickly and you went above and beyond to help me. You were so kind and lovely to me, when I really needed it. You made such a difference . Your company should be proud to have you. Thank you Liam.”
“Great campsite, perfect location if wanting to explore the South Downs but also great for getting into Brighton. Plus lovely little shop selling coffee, fire wood and even morning pastries. Not forgetting the bonus of warm showers, clean toilets, fridge, washing up facilities.”
“Our little Italian Greyhound Whippet cross hates getting her nails clipped but all the staff at Brighton Pet Spa were very understanding, persistent and caring and got the job done! Highly recommend and will be back to get our pooches claws trimmed.”
“Cannot recommend Q Estates enough - our first time renting out property and they really went above and beyond to guide us through every step of the journey. Ben, Amy, Olivia and Jo have all been fantastic. Thank you!”
“Can’t speak for the rooms as didn’t see them but based on all else am giving a 5 as not sure what happens if skip stars for the rooms .. but the service is phenomenal. Fascinated to watch the efficiency and attention the staff give to their jobs. They dont skip a beat! As for the ambience and just total loveliness of the building and its setting. Gorgeous. I’m trying to think of reasons to come back to this area. Loved it. My veggie tagine was pretty good too. Chips - French fries - as good as they get. No stragglers at the bottom you can’t eat. Yummy til the last bite.”
“Perfect place for a warm Summer evening meal outside. Great menu and very good quality food. Chicken came with one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a long while including fresh anchovies. The trout was also perfectly cooked. Large garden with various options for eating outside;open, partly or totally under cover. Best to book a table or arrive early especially on weekends, although be aware you can’t order food until 6pm.”
“Stud farm campsite is one of the most beautiful campsites I have stayed on. The views of the south downs and the sea are second to none. The campsite is quiet and had respectful people when we camped. They have a toilet block and showers although as we up on top of the downs the water pressure was very low so not sure how good the showers were, toilets were clean and tidy... Camp fires were allowed but only off the ground which is understandable. The have on-site staff to help and bring firewood if you need. It's only a short drive to birling gap or the start of the seven sisters. The top of the hill can get a bit windy but if you prepare for it it's not a problem. Keep an eye of for spitfire flybys”
“Wonderful B&B in a quiet location offering great value for money. Really enjoyed our stay here, a warm welcome from the owners upon our arrival, the room had a beautiful view over the garden and field behind - We were given a map to keep of the local area and an ice cold bottle of water for the room. Tea & coffee was also available in the room. Bramble barn was a medium walk to town, maybe 15-20 minutes. Breakfast was excellent and very generous - freshly cooked to order, with vegetarian options that could easily be tweaked to a vegan cooked breakfast if required. I would 100% stay again!”
“Mike and Susie are super guests. It is a beautiful setting in Sussex close to Brighton and Burgess Hill. Hurstpierpoint is a lovely little village close to the farmhouse with restaurants and bars. Lovely breakfast was served. Thank you for your hospitality.”
“Great place for Pumpkin picking! A big field, food and rides for children during this season! They accept cash and card, it’s brilliant! I’m so happy I got to go there :)”
“Great for showing sports on multiple screens and a game of "toad in the hole". Very friendly atmosphere..”
“Spent a lovely weekend at Firle Camp. The tent pitches were lovely and spacious with lots of room between the tents. The view up to the downs was beautiful and it was lovely and quiet - despite being not far from the main road there was very little traffic noise - just pheasants, owls and the nearby church bells. Very restful, peaceful and a great 'back to basics' camp.”
“We used John Hilton in both transitions in the sale and purchase of our home and were very impressed, we found all the staff we were involved with very friendly and helpful. The communication was excellent and when we had a viewing we were always contacted and advised of the viewers comments regarding their visit. We would like to Thank Tom at the Lewes Road branch and Simon at the Rottingdean branch for their help with our sale and purchase, they were both very professional, friendly and helpful as well as Alex and Gaynor. We would highly recommend John Hilton .”
