Wonderful rooms, friendly professional staff, great food and good beer. This place is a gem and really handy for those Londoners like us that enjoy the carefully curated chaos that is Bonfire Season down here.
Had a great Sunday lunch yesterday. Staff were warm, food was great and the pub is lovely - charming and the music was good too - something pubs often get so wrong. Two thumbs up Blackboys Inn!
Can’t speak for the rooms as didn’t see them but based on all else am giving a 5 as not sure what happens if skip stars for the rooms .. but the service is phenomenal. Fascinated to watch the efficiency and attention the staff give to their jobs. They dont skip a beat! As for the ambience and just total loveliness of the building and its setting. Gorgeous. I’m trying to think of reasons to come back to this area. Loved it. My veggie tagine was pretty good too. Chips - French fries - as good as they get. No stragglers at the bottom you can’t eat. Yummy til the last bite.
Very pretty pub with lots of character, lovely gardens & fab location. Service was great, very friendly. Food was nice, I enjoyed mine, my other half who’s a chef wasn’t as impressed.
We enjoyed lunch at the pub and both had burgers. Mine was the fried cheese with a burger patty and my wife’s was the cheeseburger. Both were very good. The fries were fresh and crispy and the waitresses were very attentive. Overall very satisfied.
Dropped in for lunch with no booking and the team quickly fitted us in nicely between sittings. The menu reads well and has nice variety, some standard stuff burgers etc, but much more on the interesting side such as game and fish which is great to see. Setting is lovely, all good!
Lovely pub, great service and location. Only downside was our table as near a door and was pretty cold. Rest of the pub was much better and warmer but would def go back booking a better table
Lucky enough to have this place as my 'local'. Friendly organised staff, great selection of ales and ciders. The food is exceptional and the menu changes on a regular basis. Mid budget, not a gastro pub, but a great pub with fantastic food. Dogs welcome in public bar (pictured)
Delightful pub just on the main road and very pleasant outdoor seating area. We're surprised at the good quality of food on offer - though perhaps on the pricey side if several of you. Friendly staff and very pleasant surroundings made this an enjoyable impromptu stop for lunch. Would certainly visit again if in the area, and highly recommended.
