A fantastic campsite with stunning views, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and the added treat of delicious coffee and pastries in the morning. Perfect location to go on long walks on the South Downs or get a short bus ride into Brighton. Couldnβt recommend it more highly!

Great campsite, as other reviews said the toilets are immaculately clean, modern and flushable. The showers looked great too, also fridges, sockets and further basins by the washing up area. There's also a cute, extremely thoughtfully stocked shop/coffee shop at the reception, the coffee and croissant was delicious!! Very handy for the South Downs Way route which I walked some of. The only note on location is you can hear traffic, didn't bother me at all but could potentially others. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly, I'll be back!

Great campsite, friendly staff and great little shop. The site had good shared facilities, fridge, kettle. Showers were warm and refreshing. Toilets very clean. We stayed in a pod for 1 night which was warm and comfortable. Perfect for walking the South Downs Way.

Great little spot. Located on the A27. A stones throw away from historic Lewes. Also very close to Brighton city. A lovely little spot nestled away in the Sussex downs. Great for nature walks. Or just to chill. The facilities are good. The toilets and showers are regularly cleaned. There is a kitchen area for washing up. A shared fridge. A little shop which is continually improving it's stock. The staff are friendly and helpful as always. I would definitely recommend. I also shall be returning.

Great campsite, perfect location if wanting to explore the South Downs but also great for getting into Brighton. Plus lovely little shop selling coffee, fire wood and even morning pastries. Not forgetting the bonus of warm showers, clean toilets, fridge, washing up facilities.

Perfect campsite with glamping pods also available. Backs onto the South Downs so perfect walking trails. Lewes in one direction Brighton I'm the other. There is a bus stop just outside with a regular service.

Stayed at Housedean campsite for 3 nights⦠wished we could stay longer! Pros of this campsite: - Beautiful spot. - Real good amenities (with hot water!). - Amenities are very clean and well-kept. - Very friendly personnel. - A working farm! Waking up with the mooing of the cows is lovely. - They have a lot of info about the surrounding area. - Very dog-friendly. - Quiet campsite, large pitches. - A shared fridge and freezer. - Enough possibilities to charge your phone etc. - Fresh pastries. - Some nice walks. Cons of this campsite: If I have to name one, it would be the sound of the motorway⦠but really, when looking at all the pros, this con is negligible.

Our favourite campsite by far! We have been coming here for several years and unfortunately for other campsites, Housedean is the high standard for us. The pitch sizes are generous, the facilities are always clean, there is never a wait for toilets or showers and they have a fridge and freezer which is incredibly helpful when camping. You can charge electronics for free and there is an office that sells coffee and snacks. The views of the rolling hills are beautiful and yes, you can hear some traffic from the motorway but just bring some ear buds if your struggle to phase noise out. We have managed to convince friends to stay and they have rented the shephards hut which is very sweet and cosy with a little cooking facility. There are so many walking trails on the south downs, along the river, the coast and beach itself so kids and adults are equally satisfied. Always our go to every year!

The perfect campsite! The shower, kitchen and toilet blocks were all immaculate and very new. The location was so beautiful with views of the rolling downs and situated very conveniently between Brighton and lewes. Easy access to the south downs way. Onsite coffee shop with some good quality snack options. We stayed in the pods which were just perfect if you don't have a tent or want to travel light. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly too! Fire pits were a fantastic addition and perfect for marshmallows! Could not recommend highly enough.
