My boyfriend had after this night over 20 bed bugs bites and needed to go to hospital because it caused an allergic reaction. Also, the shower was broken and the room was really hot. I believe the dust and the hot climate made it perfect for bed bugs to grow!

I've just returned from a 3 night stay with my daughter,at One Broad Street. On arrival, our inside door code didn't work, so I had to ring the number, and after a few minutes, the lady had sorted it and gave us another code. Great, we were in....upon looking at our room it was very dusty, light switches were sticky, and remote controls were dirty too. The shower walls were filthy, red tinge, and black mould. I messaged the number, and someone rang me, pretty much straight away. I said I was very disappointed with the room etc and told her why. I said the red tinge on the shower wall is body fat, which has come off of other people when washing. It's a residue from people's bodies. The lady said she'd never heard of that before, I've been a cleaner myself for many yrs and was trained in washing and cleaning touch point areas and other areas exposed by this, which the hotel cleaners should be aware of. She apologised and said she'd get it sorted. We had to go out as my daughter wanted to eat, so they arrived while we were out. On return, some of the red tinge had been removed but by no means all. The sides were given a quick wipe to clear some dust, but there was no attention to detail cleaning going on in this room. I also found that the t.v was very hard to fathom, the text was in a different language, which was ridiculous and there were also subtitles on the screen the whole time and I couldn't figure out how to get them off. We found the bed uncomfortable, and on the last morning when trying to pull the bed clothes together, I saw what looked like a blood stain on the actual duvet. There was an awful lot of noise from what I think were other guests above us, sometimes going on until 3.30am. The only thing going for this hotel is the location. I looked at reviews before booking and only saw good ones. Now, on return, I can see many bad reviews also commenting on the lack of cleanliness. The response to these reviews is "Thanks for your review and to bringing this to our attention, so we can rectify this," but clearly, they are not as the issues are still there. A very disappointing hotel experience, we definitely will not be booking again.

The ambience of the place was quite nice, clean, calm, and inviting. It was well-stocked with useful appliances like a microwave, coffee machine, fan, and fridge, which added to the convenience of our stay. However, we were really disappointed with the bathroom. The shower was completely clogged, and water wouldn’t drain properly. It was quite disgusting to see it fill up with water and hair, clearly not cleaned before our arrival. On top of that, no blankets were provided, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. With better cleanliness and attention to basic needs like bedding, this place could offer a much better experience.

I loved the very central but quiet location which felt quite the win in Brighton! It was easy self service access which went without a hitch. Everything felt fresh and clean including what looked like lovely brand new carpets. Gorgeous room. It is the perfect location for a relaxing trip to Brighton. I can’t wait to stay here again!

My partner and I booked a weekend stay here to celebrate our anniversary and get away from the kids. We weren’t disappointed with the hotel’s funky interiors that were stunning. We found our room clean and warm (and left well stocked by housekeeping!). The best bits of Brighton are only a few mins stroll away, with the sea just down the road. Plenty of good eateries and bars just on the doorstop made our stay fun and the rooms mini kitchen super handy when bringing back food to prepare ourselves. Highly recommended.

Pin check in was easy and great. Room is really nice and modern, will prepare you there is stairs, bathroom very dated and defo could do with a update! We did not have towels however was correct, location isn't brilliant for parking but no the owners fault but location is good!

Exactly as advertised. Lovely hotel. Room. Facilities and Location. Great communication with Hotel owners regarding check in. Was a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and he loved it a lot. Also we went to see Blue so was ideal to come back to after a long evening. Can't wait for an excuse to come back

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! The room was beautifully presented and clean and the addition of earplugs, though neither of us used them, was a brilliant thought. The beds were comfortable, and even though there were other people in the building we felt safe, secure and didn’t get disturbed by anyone. I personally am autistic and am always worried when going to hotels whether the environment is going to be neurodivergent friendly and it 100% was. Lighting wasn’t too harsh, everything was comfortable, there were no annoying noises from the room itself and though the street outside was noisy the owners clearly thought of that two and provided earplugs for free! Overall the room was comfortable and clean and is definitely my go to place to stay in Brighton from now on!

I stayed in this hotel with my sister for two nights, and although the location was great it became obvious over a day or so that the hotel is not fit for purpose. Although we found it aesthetically pleasing when we first arrived, we soon found out that many of the features of the room were poor quality and not functional. The sheets did not fit the mattress and repeatedly came loose in the night and the electrics did not work properly so we could not shut off the lights. There was also black mold in the bathroom, the doorknob fell off repeatedly and the shower drain became blocked at one point making it so we could not take showers. Our room also backed on to a courtyard which was noisy at night and smelled horrible with smokers outdoors. Great location near the sea but would not visit again.

Starting with the good: - Self check-in and getting in and out of the hotel worked flawlessly. - Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Now the bad: - incredibly uncomfortable bar stool meant doing any kind of work from the hotel was impossible - very tiny sink in the bathroom made daily hygiene routine quite challenging - shower pressure and heat control were very bad, shower head didn’t hold in place on the wall so had to hold it to shower - no lift and very steep stairs up a lot of floors - absolutely no staff on site meant on checkout day I was afraid to leave the hotel in case the system didn’t let me back in Place might be okay to crash at for a night in Brighton, but I can’t recommend multi-day-stays here.
