Hamptons Brighton is conveniently located and close to coffee shops, markets and bus stop directly in front of accomodation. Whilst the bed/linen appeared clean and comfy, room was not presented in an overall cleanly state. Bathroom still had previous users toiletries, cups and cutlery in room looked dirty and unwashed. Staff appeared friendly, however daily house keeping as advertised was not attended and staff were difficult to find, this made check-in difficult to facilitate as there were no staff around. Whilst advertising as a hotel, expect more of a hostel quality.

It is a very bad place and it has a very small shared bathroom. You book a room for 2 people with a child and in the pictures they show you that there is an extra bed and when you get scared they give you a room with only one bed and it is very small and not enough for 3 people. Unfortunately, they are scammers.

I just checked in a few hours ago. The neighborhood is nice, but my room is not at ALL like anything in the photos. There's one single bed, and it's too short for me. In addition, now that it's dark, I realize there are NO lights working in the room, so I'm in total darkness. The office is closed, and I've emailed but received no response. Further, my room is above the entrance, so it's cold, because the outer door is always open, and there's no extra blanket. Finally, everyone coming in slams the door, which shakes my room. I don't intend to stay the other 2 nights I reserved, unless management can do something. This is more like a hostel, but even they have working lights. Oh, and there's very little toilet paper. Bring your own.

Low cost sort-yourself-out sort of place, great for a solo traveller staying a couple of nights. Walking distance from just about all the main attractions. Stayed in room 3 this time and the only things I'll suggest are that the mattress is a bit worn out/lumpy, and that the shower in the shared bathroom could do with updating. CYCLISTS: This bit's not the hotel's fault, but you definitely need to double lock your bike if you park it at the top of the road as the parking is not viewable from any of the rooms and unfortunately the Steine is a bit of a hangout for problem-drinkers/drug users and there are quite a few stripped out frames about the place.

I paid a very overpriced stay (~£750) for a 11-day stay at Room 1 (had to change from a single to double on the first day and later extend my stay by 7 days after 4 days, making it from Friday Dec. 2 to Tuesday Dec. 13), and after 4 days in hamptons room 1 the only reliable wifi source got completely lost — which is strange because it always remained active for upper floor occupants and that didn’t make sense with all the already existing 1-star reviews complaining about the upper floors wifi signal — and I resorted to the other two wifi sources, which are on the first floor and rebooted by one of the managers everyday. These somehow never really made it to Room 1 with any decent stability and really just were a massive nuisance over most of my stay in hamptons. Aside from the 4g signal being sometimes zero (or down to 3g. in 2022). I complained about all this to the manager (who explained a lot to me and got me some extra info and was really kind) and I realised there was nothing much else he or they could have done for me with many other rooms booked. Wish I could get moneyback tbh.

Stayed hear before at the Hamptons, getting a bit dated now. Shared reception with strawberry fields, less attentive .

Beware of this hotel. They cancel rooms to resell them pretending that your credit card is invalid. Disgraceful behaviour. I have never experienced this before. They refuse to take phone calls or respond to emails hoping you will do nothing. Please stop this dishonest behaviour.

I really enjoyed our stay here, and could tell that the staff put alot of effort into welcoming us. The towels were folded into flowers and all sitting on our beds. The room was in very good condition, and the beds comfy. The only downside was taking our bigger luggage bags down the narrow stairwell because there is no lift. Would absolutely reccomended staying here!

Ok if it’s only for a night’s stay but would not recommend for longer days. We liked how it was close to the beach area, but in terms of facilities, the hallways and staircases are very narrow and steep. The doors are difficult to shut to the point that you had no choice but to bang the doors to shut it properly. Not good ventilation as well. Walls are very thin and we had the very unfortunate experience of having very loud and inconsiderate neighbours who were just legit fighting the whole night, even until 2:30am! Wifi was very dodgy as well, does not reach the topmost floor. We were actually looking forward to check out the next day.
