   Can't ask for a better location, and others would rely just on that for business. However, this host makes sure that the little details are taken care of so as to make the stay extra special. We stayed in the room that was built in mid 17th century with comfy twins, big open windows to bring in lots of fresh air (and dry a bit of laundry). The hosts were very accommodating and informative. The breakfast was hearty and they had no problems dealing with one vegetarian and one coeliac (celiac). A requested visit with Bella, the owner's black lab was an added bonus.

   What a beautiful B&B in a quiet town. The local pub The Royal Oakland (which does great food!) is almost straight across the road. The views are superb, the rooms are clean and beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend for walkers on the South Downs or for people looking for a quiet base for some walks. It is also a nice walk to another pub called the Shepherd and Dog Inn.

   Jolly lucky to stay here, the Hosts (Mike & Sue) are charming, helpful, and run the place so well with a keen eye on what a travelling customer may need. The room was beautifully clean and well appointed, including fresh milk in a chilled container for tea or coffee. Breakfast was made to suit a variety of tastes. A historic quiet village convenient for Brighton, Glyndebourne or walking / cycling. And dog friendly! My satnav did not quite get it right (I only put in the postcode, my error) but the directions on Mike & Sue's website (which I printed just in case) were excellent. Top marks!

   Perfectly situated for SDW walkers, or as a base for walks and rides in the area. Pretty village. Lovely hosts and excellent cooked breakfast in pretty country dining room. Nice and quiet, room was comfortable with garden view. Fresh milk for tea/coffee in the room was appreciated. Pub just across the road was friendly and food was plentiful and reasonably priced.

   I travelled to Poynings to do an outdoor first aid course. I found South Downs Way B&B online and booked it for myself. I didn't have much information about the area, I got in touch with Mike, owner of the B&B. He helped me organise the travel and arrive there. The venue to the course was far away, and he offered to drop me every morning so I don't miss my classes. Mike and Sue are amazing,helpful hosts. The b&b is located in the centre of the village. View from the room is amazing. The breakfast was great. They are amazing hosts. I will definitely be going back. I recommend this B&B to all the travellers who may be going for walks or doing the South Downs Way walk. Great place great people running it.

   A lovely B&B. Very conveniently located with both a great pub and the walking trail head (magnificent views!) just a few meters away. Can be reached by bus from Brighton. The hosts are very friendly and help with local tips, walking maps etc. the rooms are cosy and tasteful. Veggie breakfast available.

   Wonderful b&b with excellent service by a lovely couple. Delicious breakfast (full English, yes please). Situated in a lovely little village in the countryside (bring wellies/boots for beautiful walks) and Devils Dyke is a long walk/short drive near. The local pub/restaurant is also excellent, with the same friendly service and a good selection of food and drink. As a bonus its easy to get to and near Brighton etc for shopping etc excursions.

   This is a fantastic b&b! Very clean and beautiful furnishings. Bathroom had shower gel/shampoo/conditioner dispenser. Mike helped me safely secure bikes. Mike and his wife were very friendly. Lovely pub across the road. Breakfast was delicious, fresh rhubarb and ginger from the garden with yogurt and delicious fry-up with premium sausages, beautifully presented. This place gets top marks!! Perfect as a stop over while cycling The South Downs Way. Thank you :)

   Sue and Mike made us feel so at home and greeted us with homemade flapjack to have with our afternoon cup of tea. The rooms are very spacious and we all slept really well. This was followed up with a very good breakfast which offered a choice of traditional English; with eggs laid that morning or fresh fruit and cereals. The location is excellent in a quaint village opposite a pub serving great food. We loved our stay here and would really recommend it to our family and friends. Thank you Kate and friends .
