Stayed here last night for the new year celebrations. I was given a sea view room with a wonderful view the staff were friendly and patient whilst dealing with my many questions. Additionally, Tab was excellent and provide cracking customer service would recommend :) !!!

What a disappointing stay. We were expecting it to be basic but not prepared for how bad it was. No bath mats so bathroom floor was freezing cold and when wet slippery. We had to used the hand towel to mop up the wet. The room was only "topped up" once during our 5 day stay and they forgot to give us more loo roll. Had to ask for clean towels and loo roll at reception as no phone in room to ring down for it. The door "key" was mostly useless and had to go to reception quite a few times to get it working. The only plus was the bed was quite comfortable and the shower was hot. The tiling grout work looks like it's been done by a 5 year old. I'm being quite generous giving it a 2/5. Definitely will not stay again!! Oh and we didn't get the sea view room we requested due to an issue with our original room, so they said they would refund the difference. My husband received a grand total of Β£3.50 back to his card!!

Room was clean and warm, with a stunning view of the sea front and pier. DΓ©cor was dated as this room wasn't part of the recent refurb but it didn't detract from the stay. All staff were friendly and helpful from reception to house keeping. Over all an excellent weekend stay, which I would highly recommend

Spent just over Β£100 for the one night with breakfast for 2, the room was covered in hair on the edge of the bath and on the bed, we was given the view of a brick wall, the service in the front desk when we arrived was lovely really friendly and accommodating, however the morning breakfast staff were not very helpful all the hot food that was low (i.e. 1/2 sausages 2/3 bits of bacon) wasnβt restocked until we asked for it, there was no plates, no cutlery out, the fruit salad was nearly empty and looked disgusting, the light behind the bed was brown, could hear constant water dripping, the breakfast felt so unwelcoming and uncomfortable with comments being made about our pyjamas, the window we had was filthy inside and out. carpet was stained and had fluff all over it, sheets were stained, mattress protector was stained as well also with hairs covering the protector. massive stain on the actual mattress itself, hairs under the actual mattress itself

Very tired hotel badly in need of updating and some TLC. Reception area dull and inviting. Snack and drinks dispensing machine out of order. Room was basic and very hot and badly needed airing. Ceilings paper thin so could hear footfall all the time. No water glasses in the room. Curtains nearly impossible to close for fear of breaking them. Breakfast was awful. Food un-inviting, very few options if you did not want a cooked breakfast.... And it was an extra Β£25 on the bill for 2. I appreciate the ethos of Travelodge as being a no fuss hotel for a stopover but this has to be the saddest one I have stayed in.

Cheapest hotel found in the area, but was not very clean. Brown marks on the bathroom door and floor & filthy mirrors and chair - things that could have easily been cleaned. Would have been a great stay if it was clean, as we did have a lovely view of the seafront & the bed was comfy.

We had a family sized sea view room which was just lovely, room was clean, yes it could do with an update but how long are you in there? Staff are very friendly and helpful, location perfect. Parking can be a little difficult but we didn't have to much trouble.

Friendly staff nice clean rooms only thing that stop this being 5 stars is the dinner they serve. Their was only 2 of us in the restaurant and the food each night took over an hour to serve up. And being mostly micro wave food the mind boggles to what their doing out the back

Booked the Travelodge for three nights over Christmas when visiting family. The rooms are incredibly basic, as you'd expect, but clean. We discovered after unpacking that our room had no hot water, but we were moved immediately to another room on the same floor by an apologetic member of staff (who stayed late on her Christmas Eve shift to make sure all was okay in the new room). TV worked well, bed was comfy, shower was hot (once we were in the second room)with great water pressure. We didn't have breakfast but the coffee machine downstairs provided decent coffee and tea. The location is perfect, right on the seafront and close to the shops, the cinema, theatre, town centre, local park etc. Probably the most basic of hotels I've ever stayed in but clean and comfortable, quiet and (as others have mentioned), the staff we encountered were noticeably friendly, polite and ready to help. That made a big difference to our overall impression of the hotel.

Booked by work. My expectations were low when I saw I had the pleasure of a night at Travelodge Worthing. An identikit hotel of this budget brand but obviously in the lower tier of their estate. Wet paint on the hand rail greeted me and filthy glass doors. The receptionist was eager and check in painless. I was also thankful for their honesty when asked what the food was like in the restaurant. A reply of "I wouldnt eat here" saved me the experience. My room (18) was clean but that was its highlight. I've never seen a wonky toilet before, it wasn't loose, just fitted on a slant. The curtains didnt fit correctly so I was bathed in a glow of street lamp which complimented the road noise. It had a faint odour, a mix of damp, despair and cannabis. My experience was complete with a broken tiny TV, and a soundtrack provided by people walking up and down the stairs. I was grateful for the comfy bed as I would of hated to be fidgety while listening to cars, footsteps and people outside my ground floor window half the night. I have stayed in worse hotels, but I not many.
