   From start to finish we had an excellent experience with Sawyers. Chris was easy and pleasant to deal and had a calm, logical, helpful approach which we appreciated. We took his advice on pricing and the house sold within 4 weeks to a great buyer. The whole team from the office staff to the guys doing the viewings were excellent and they restored our faith in estate agents after a previous poor local experience. Would not hesitate to recommend.

   We had the misfortune of using Sawyer & Co in Brighton to sell our property, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. When we first approached them, they promised us they were the best, that they would handle everything, and that the process would be smooth. In reality, it was the complete opposite. It took them months to find a buyer, and once they finally did, we were constantly misled about the timeline. They assured us completion was imminent, only for it to drag on for another four months. Throughout this time, communication was appalling – emails often went unanswered, and when they did respond, they were dismissive, unprofessional, and at times outright rude. To make matters worse, Sawyer & Co held the only key to the property, and the day before the supposed completion, they suddenly demanded I get work done on the house. I was forced to pay to have this done within 24 hours, only to then discover that the completion had been delayed yet again. A particularly unpleasant experience was dealing with Bob, who was often rude, unhelpful, and clearly more interested in getting paid than in providing any real service. The promises made at the start were completely abandoned once they had our business. Overall, this has been a disgraceful experience from start to finish. If you are thinking of selling your property, I strongly recommend avoiding Sawyer & Co – save yourself the stress, wasted time, and frustration.

   Sawyers is a very professional, friendly agent, so I’m delighted to be working with them. They have in-depth market knowledge and an excellent understanding of what landlords need and want. They respond to queries efficiently and professionally, they are very friendly and courteous, and, without a doubt, stand out from the other agencies in Brighton and Hove with their comprehensive service. Their office is welcoming and the staff are very approachable and knowledgeable. It is no surprise that a number of landlords have transferred over to them recently. Furthermore they install confidence that landlords’ interests are being looked after just as much as the tenants in the sense of renewals, that properties adhere to rental standards and everyone is informed throughout the tenancy. I particularly like how dedicated team members are assigned to specific properties so it is easy to get things done when need be.

   Sawyers have been amazing, thoughout the stages for the sale of my house . These have been difficult times with the economy and the sale price achieved was fair and realistic. They are extreamly professional whilst being friendly. Having had to use two estate agents buying and selling, and having two conveyors buying and selling, together with 6 in the chain, it hasn't been straight forward.

It was a difficult situation, whereby two buyers pulled out for very different reasons, and Sawyer's were helpful and supportive throughout this stressful process. They gave good advice during challenging market conditions (Ukraine war/Cost of living crisis wtc.. having affected house sales severely), eventually getting us a third buyer at a reasonable price.
