We have been to Tilgate Park previously, but only walked around the lovely lake and play park. This time, we visited the zoo and we were so impressed! Some of the enclosures could do with a bit of updating, but you can see the staff are really trying with the enrichment etc, and the animals were very active and interactive with us and other families. The reptile house and discovery centre were great and the Serval is beautiful! What was also great is it wasn't too expensive and you can get a stamp from the zoo shop so you can come and go all day; so you could go out the zoo for lunch and a play, and go back in afterwards. We have already made plans to come back again and are planning an all day visit in the spring/summer!

I've been visiting Tilgate Park for many years and always have an enjoyable walk, whatever the weather. The walled garden is well kept and always worth a visit. Bought a cake from the cafe to takeaway which was yummy and homemade; although it's not always open so best to check before visiting/ relying on it being open for lunch/ snacks. There are features to see around the park and there are activities if you want to do them. Generally a lovely place to explore

Massive grounds with something for everybody; lakeside and woodland walks, a zoo, children's play atea and a couple of cafes - we visited the walled garden cafe. The grounds are dog-friendly and there is plenty of space for families and picnics.

Great for walks with accessible paths and off-road tracks. Plenty of tracks for running and doing a few miles. There is an outdoor gym. A lake with water activities in summer. Public toilets, a walled garden, a pub, a café, and 2 ice cream huts. Go ape right there and a golf course next by. There's staff taking care of the park and it always seem very clean. A good all round park!

Great place for families and loners. Lots of walks through the forest and around the lake. Beautiful trees and shrubs particularly the rhododendrons. Good eating places. Good paths for wheelchairs. Inexpensive parking. Great day out.

It's a lovely place for a day out with your loved ones, enjoy cool breeze at the lake side with a cup of coffee and immerse yourself into the beautiful nature. I had great time spending with my 1yr old baby girl, it was happy to see her get excited about birds, lama, and other animals preserved at nature center..:)

A wonderful park with a lake, woodlands, a nature walk, various gardens, a cafe and ice-cream shop, plenty of public toilets around and benches to sit and take in the stunning views. There was a good sized children's playground and a branch of Smith & Western in the grounds. Most pathways were well paved and easily accessible, even for those with mobility issues. The catpark was large with ample parking; it was pay and display but this can be done on an app too. Will definitely be back here!
