   I dont often write reviews but doing this for the benefit of anyone who may be in my position and trying to find something suitable and a laugh for a hen do, as that was me a few months ago when I booked Showlesque! I know there are some mixed reviews on Google and Trip advisor, but I hope this may help sway someone's decision in deciding whether or not to go...we went as a hen do on 30th August, and I was worried about what to expect because of a recent review only giving 3 stars. The food came quickly and was actually very tasty...chips were great. The staff were friendly, particularly the young lady with bobbed wavy blonde hair (sorry I've forgotten your name!). Service was good. Veronica Blacklace absolutely made the night as the MC and singer, she had a fab voice, very funny and knew how to read a room perfectly. Big Hairy Growler...so funny, and his strip tease was so bad it was good lol. We had such a laugh, the energy was great. The venue is small and intimate, but this didnt mean the atmosphere was any less. When the show finished, there was a DJ playing classic tunes, the place wasn't busy but to be honest we just enjoyed having the dance floor to ourselves. My one criticism would be that maybe there could have been a couple more alternative acts within the show, as each person came on twice (there were three performers in total, plus the MC). Very entertaining, we laughed all night and the hen had the best time. Would definitely recommend! One thing to note, if you are a large group make sure to ask to be seated on one table...we were a group of 9 but split into two booths, we could still see and talk to each other but we would have preferred to have been sat together.

   I booked this place for my friend’s hen party. She really enjoys burlesque, drag queens, circus acts etc so thought this would be perfect. We all dressed up, unfortunately no one else at this event had but we still felt amazing nonetheless! We all agreed the food was delicious and the service was very quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the acts were quite disappointing and were not as entertaining as I thought it was going to be. Luckily there was a drag act that came on that played all the Lady Gaga songs which my friend loves so she had a great time with that! But the rest just didn’t stand out. One guy was just playing around with some strobe lights and trying to strip off and ended up dropping the lights he was using, so it was a bit messy! All the acts were pretty short as well, so they didn’t have much of a performance to show. It just felt quite forced at times. I guess I just expected more from all the good reviews and the videos/photos online! Seems we didn’t get to experience that unfortunately. There were quite a few rowdy people around as well and some that didn’t have tickets and were able to get in. It just wasn’t a great vibe and we left as soon as it ended! Such a shame, some parts were good and enjoyable but mostly it felt awkward and pretty boring at times. Luckily we all made the best of it as it’s all for the bride to be at the end of the day! I am glad for the experience, and the food and service throughout was very good so thank you!

   We had the most brilliant night celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary and sharing the joy of 2 hen nights. The four acts were superb and Dave the Bear had us in stitches, Ophelia and Allegra were excellent and the lady with the hoola hoops was incredible. Food was really good for vegetarians. Really fun night that spanned the ages! Audience participation was encouraged but not forced!

   We came here for a hen do. Venue is quite small but felt very intimate which was quite enjoyable. I was expecting more acts. The drag queen was just *chefs kiss* - SO GOOD! The food was served very promptly one after the other which was terrible because it didn't really leave time for us to enjoy the show, drink and eat at the same time. Most of the food went back because we were too full/couldn't digest. Starters were good. Chicken burger had a weird taste. Brownie was dry. Overall, I recommend it for the experience but lots of things could have been better.

   Had an absolutely brilliant night here for a birthday celebration. Veronica Blacklace who hosted had us in stitches and and also had a beautiful singing voice. All the acts were excellent but I loved Ophelia Payne and Dave the Bear who were fabulous! Highly recommend this for any fun celebration.

   The 6 of us had such a great night for my special Birthday. The show acts were brilliant, the food portions were huge! - and very yummy and the room/ table set up was just brilliant.Would highly recommend- such good value for the money.

   This was the best show I have ever been to. It was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was out of this world. Me and my friends wanted to do it all again the next night would definitely recommend this to everybody.

   We had the best night! Such a great show! We were greated by Paige, who was lovely All the performers were amazing! Best cabaret we have ever been to - Veronica Blacklace has the most incredible singing voice and was really entertaining, engaging and incredibly funny. Chichi revolver's hoop act was breathtaking, I loved Alik and Allegra Rose performed a couple of beautiful burlesque acts. The show ended perfectly with boylesque act Jonny the Basqard, who had us all in stitches! Highly recommended for a great night out and the perfect venue for a hen party!
