My partner and I stayed at Dunston Hall for three nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were outstanding — especially Laura, who went above and beyond to help us resolve an issue with Booking.com. Thanks to her kindness and professionalism, we will always book directly with the hotel in future. The location is truly magical and the facilities are incredible. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was exceptional. Our room was beautiful, with a gorgeous view, and it was such a relaxing place to stay. The pool and leisure facilities were first class, and the breakfast was simply divine. Everything about Dunston Hall, from start to finish, was absolutely fantastic. We can’t wait to return.

My wife treated me to this for my 40th birthday, and I absolutely loved it! It’s a luxurious hotel in a stunning historic building. The food was fantastic, the room was spacious and comfy, and it even included tea and coffee in the room. I also made the most of the spa and swimming facilities while I was there. Plus, it’s in a peaceful spot surrounded by greenery, and I would definitely go back.

Stayed here with work probably around 15-20 times over the past few years, lovely quiet hotel that has character and helpful staff. Upon checking in this time I was recognised by Will & Max who were extremely pleasant when booking me into my room. Staff here have always been great but these 2 were super. Great job and looking forward to staying with you again!!

Dunston Hall Hotel is a grade 2 listed manor house which is stunning inside and out. Myself and my mum stayed here for business and leisure had a lovely girly weekend and used all the spa and health club facilities. Our massages and facials were top notch and the staff at the spa are very lovely people. We had a meal in the Garden Terrace both nights. The food took a while to come out but I do not mind waiting as I know what pressure is put on the hospitality staff. Couldn't fault the food. It was very tasty and good portion size. I have to mention our waiter Will. Will looked after us and gave us regular updates on the food times. He was very polite, pleasure to talk to and a very hard worker. I hope he gets the acknowledgement he deserves. I've been in your shoes and know how customers treat us. Me and mum wanted to tip you but I knew all tips go to everyone and we wanted to you to have it. So instead I hope this message reaches you. Thank you for making our evenings, that little bit more special. The only downfall of this hotel is that its children friendly. When you look at this building you wouldn't think children are allowed here because this is a Elizabethan manor house & golf club. In my opinion this automatically gives off a regal and dignified atmosphere. Some families had well behaved children and they were no problems. However when in the restaurant and in the health club, there were kids screaming, miss behaving and the parents nor staff were doing anything about this. I don't mind it being a child friendly hotel, but there needs to be some respect for the people that want a relaxing weekend. Other than this, me and my mum had a lovely weekend stay.

Beautiful, cosy hotel with a great restaurant and pool. Lovely, professional staff. The Spa was amazing too, I got a massage and facial and they were the best I’ve ever had. Our room for the first 2 nights was comfortable but had a loud noise outside that we believe to be from the pool (the vent or something similar). We complained about it and eventually got an upgraded room for our last night (since they were fully booked the 2nd night), so that issue did get resolved to the best of their ability.

Classic architecture and lovely grounds made for a striking entrance to the hotel. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Nice to have a restaurant and lite fare pub on site. Overall a relaxing and lovely visit.

An undeniably impressive facade. The interior has some lovely features too. The rooms are a little tired in places and none of the extractor fans in the bathrooms seemed to work for our group (part of a golf trip with 10 others). The food was lovely, due to size of our group we preordered and as far as I'm aware everyone got what they wanted! Slight juxtaposition between noisy laddish golf groups (yes we were one) and families clearly trying to enjoy a quiet evening (and yes, i did feel a little sorry for them at times!). Good staff and decent breakfast. Golf course is not long but an attractive and well kept parkland course. Bunker bar makes for a good post round spot.

Lovely country hotel set in attractive grounds. Played golf 2 days. The course paths are quite stony but the greens in good condition. The golf shop staff helpful. Long holes, with water and challenging. Food was variable but very tasty. Enjoyed the orangery to take coffee after dinner. Used pool, sauna and jacuzzi plus had a treatment Enjoyed our golf break at this attractive country hotel.

A lovely hotel. Our room was good, comfortable, spacious. Good bathroom & shower. Despite all the available windows being open it was very warm & we wished for air conditioning, but we stayed during a very hot period. Staff were lovely, kind, helpful. The Lilac Room spa was super. The pool facilities are very good.
