I’m really disappointed with my experience at Argo. I purchased a sewing kit in-store and tried to return it about six days later because I no longer needed it. Unfortunately, I had misplaced the receipt, but I had my bank statement showing the purchase. According to the store’s return policy, a bank statement is acceptable proof of purchase, or at the very least, I should have been eligible for a voucher if the item could not be verified. When I went to the store, the staff and the manager (Kelly) were completely unwilling to help. I tried to show them what the policy said, but the manager was dismissive and wouldn’t even look at it. She simply said, “We can’t help,” and ended the conversation. I left feeling disheartened and frustrated not just because of the refusal, but because of how dismissive and unhelpful the interaction was. Afterwards, I tried to contact customer service, but it was almost impossible to reach a real person. Everything is automated, and I’ve still not received any response or resolution. Overall, the experience has been extremely disappointing, and it has really put me off shopping with Argo again.

Rude off hand customer service Bought a laptop and they didn't update the date of purchase with the manufacturer. Two days after buying I received an email to say that my year guarantee was about to run out? This took me an nearly an hour to rectify with the manufacturer! They sold me an anti virus when the laptop came with a norton anti virus ! So wasted money as well

Staff urgently require training with regards to disabilities. If you're disabled in any way, I would not visit this store. I'm hearing impaired and explained this to the member of staff. He refused to acknowledge this and proceeded to talk extremely fast, then turned his back on me to read a returns policy sign to me, I again explained that I lip read, to which he continued to have his back to me whilst reading the returns sign to me. You couldn't make it up. I kindly explained to him that when someone approaches you to tell you they're hard of hearing, talking slowly & clearly and facing the customer so they can lip read can be really helpful. His response was a shrug of the shoulders. I will never use this store again if their staff find being disabled highly amusing.

Visit to pick up daughter's car after repairs following vandalism. Friendly,chatty staff. Repairs appear to have been done with no apparant problems on collection. Took three weeks for repairs to be completed which seems a long time but she was provided with a lovely courtesy car during this time.

Extremely disappointed with my visit to Argos today. The service I received was appalling. The person who served me at the counter gave the impression like he could not care less about my custom. Initially, on trying to give him my reference (after he asked for it as a greeting), he cut me off saying "give me the FT number". When I advised this was not something I had, he was adamant that I did if I had made an order online. As we were clearly at a stalemate, to prove to him I was telling the truth I showed him the email I had recieved. I then got a "I see its a TU order" and off he went in search of my package. He then returned a few minutes later and practically threw the bag at me. I was going to have a quiet word with the manager to advise he might need to do some remedial soft skill training with this individual (everyone else I observed seemed on the ball), when I looked at the badge of the man serving and realised he was the manager! Good job the rest of the staff weren't following his lead.

So, after needing storage boxes, nice deep ones at a reasonable price I decided Argos is the best place to go. Even during COVD19 times, this was the best choice..help and guidance was 5 star, I was in and out on half an hour. Paid and collected. Great service, you are told where to wait and where to pay..very simple..nicely done!
