   I turn 80 this year. Twice this year I have walked a mile, and a mile back, to Ferring Pharmacy to collect a prescription only to find them closed on a day when they should be open. This is just not good enough. I can't drive any more so I have to rely on walking. They used to deliver when my wife was alive and was very ill, but when she died they declined to deliver any more.

   I do understand that staffing can be difficult. If you are going to be shut Sat morning because no pharmacist is available it would be helpful to post this info online. I work in the week, so Sat is the only day I can pick up prescriptions. If I have missed anything online I apologise, but I am now without my prescription until next Sat.

   As so often with this pharmacy, very disappointed with their total lack of helpfulness. I have a lot of meds on repeat prescription but for once I had missed a repeat and due to the bank holiday had run out completely of drug I should take daily. Went into the surgery who sent a request to Rowlands at 11am but warned me I may have to wait two working days for the drugs. A nurse at the surgery suggested that I ask Rowlands if they would let me have eight pills to be going with until they could fulfil the request. (4 a day taken). I phoned Rowlands at 2.15pm who spoke to me as though I was an idiot and said they had no electronic request come through and when they did, they would fill the request. How I’m meant to know when the electronic request goes through, they didn’t say. Nor were they bothered that I wouldn’t have my meds until they deemed they could make them up. I so badly want to support local businesses but like many people I really will have to change to a chemist that at least tries to help. Rude, sarcastic, unhelpful inefficient. Those are the better adjectives for this company.

   This is the worst pharmacy ever in my experience. The woman at the cashier is so incredibly rude it’s shocking she still has a job. She needs to improve her customer service skills and maybe crack a smile now and then. Or just stay at the back and stop spreading her negative energy to other people who are just trying to go about their day. Disappointing experience I would not recommend this pharmacy
